國立彰化高級中學 學生來源99﹪來自彰化縣，是典型的社區化高中，應屆畢業生 98﹪以上錄取?

本校創建於民國三十一年四月二十七日，原名台中州立彰化中學，為四年一貫制，當初借用彰化縣平和國民小學教室上課；本校現址原為彰化縣太和國民小學（專收日籍學生），嗣後遷入現址。民國三十四年正名為「臺灣省立彰化中學」，旋改制為「三三制」的完全中學，民國五十七年配合政府 九年國民教育實施，逐年結束初中部。民國五十九年改制為「臺灣省立彰化高級中學」，民國八十八年二月因精省政策改名為「國立彰化高級中學」。
