The Maldives is represented at the IPC Annual Classification Meeting 2026 in Bonn, Germany, by Mr Rilwan Saeed, Lead Para Badminton Classifier.

For a developing Para sport nation like ours, participation in this global technical forum is essential. The knowledge, international connections and latest technical expertise gained will help strengthen local classification systems, improve athlete preparation and build the capacity of our coaches and physiotherapists.

This is particularly important as we prepare Maldivian athletes for major international competitions, including the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games, taking place from 18 to 24 October 2026.
