Leo tunawasherehekea vijana kwa nguvu zao, ubunifu wao, na uongozi wao hapa Tanzania na duniani kote.
Peace Corps Tanzania tunaendelea kuhamasishwa kila siku na vijana wanaojenga jamii imara, kuleta ubunifu, na kujenga mustakabali wa amani na mshikamano.

🌱 Vijana ni wabunifu wa mabadiliko.
🌍 Vijana ni wavumbuzi.
🤝 Vijana ni viongozi.

Kwa vijana wote tunaoshirikiana nao, mawazo yenu yana thamani na ndoto zenu zina thamani. Asanteni kwa kuwa washirika wetu katika elimu, afya, na kilimo endelevu.

Goats Galore!

Nutrition access for people living with HIV can be a challenge, especially because the medications used to treat the virus make it more difficult to process nutrients in food as a side effect. Sustainable agriculture can be used as a tool to combat these kinds of challenges.

PCV Rachel recently implemented a grant to provide milking goats for people living with HIV in her community. Goat’s milk is high in protein, healthy fats and minerals and is a relatively low-cost venture compared to other protein sources such as meat or cow’s milk.

Additionally milking goats is a newly emerging industry in Southern Tanzania, with opportunities for secondary products such as yogurt, cheese, or soap that can be sold for extra income.

Your story is part of our legacy.

For 65 years, since Peace Corps started in Tanzania in 1961, Volunteers and communities across Tanzania have built lasting partnerships, shared cultures, and created meaningful impact together.

Peace Corps Tanzania is launching a story and photo collection initiative to celebrate our 65th anniversary this coming September.
Therefore, we are looking for stories, reflections, photos, and archival materials from RPCVs who served in Tanzania across all decades, sectors, and regions.

We are also especially interested in hearing from RPCVs who are still connected with former counterparts or host community members who may be interested in sharing their stories.

Tanzania has emerged as the 12th largest mango producer globally, with an annual output of 700,000 metric tons and an annual growth rate of 6.7%. The sector is supported by more than 30 mango varieties including popular local favorites such as Dodo, Apple, Boribo, Viringe, and international varieties like Kent, Tommy Atkins, Keitt, and Alphonso

This week PC Tanzania welcomed 2 wonderful PC Kenya staff who facilitated a joint PACA Workshop.

This workshop provided opportunity for both teams to share best practices on how to integrate Participatory Approach for Community Action (PACA) methodologies in training Peace Corps Volunteers.
