Today, as Woman MP and Shadow Minister for Works and Transport, I have officially started my duties with a courtesy visit at the Hoima Boma grounds where the UPDF Engineering Brigade is 3weeks on site constructing the AFCON 2027 training Pitches. The time frame for project completion is 6 months. The speed is encouraging. As Ugandans, we expect quality, value for money, works, and timely completion

Yesterday, I offered myself for the position of Deputy Speaker of the 12th Parliament and, while the outcome did not go in my favour, I remain proud to have participated in a democratic process where every voice matters. Congratulations to the Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa upon his election.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the 45 Members of Parliament who entrusted me with their vote and belief. Your support was not in vain—it represented conviction, courage, and the strength of democratic choice.

Democracy is founded on the principle that while the majority carry the day, the minority must always have their voice heard. Yesterday, we made our voice heard with dignity and purpose.

As we move forward, I pledge my full support and cooperation to the Deputy Speaker-elect and the leadership of Parliament as we collectively work towards serving our country and advancing the interests of the people of Uganda.
