KaCoDA starts in tourism. A percentage of the money generated from tourist entering Bwindi National Park to trek Gorillas is channeled back to the surrounding communities. kaCoDA have started building a lodge for tourist in cooperation with a private owned company. Bwindi Forest Farm.
The aim with the tourist lodge is to invest in something that will provide income and jobs in many years to come.

Welcome to Karangara Community Development Association, KaCoDA
We are a community based association incorporating the Communities of Musheija and Rwamiumby villages located in Southwest Uganda.
The aim is to support our local livelihood through collaboration and fundraising for food security, health, and income generating community projects.
Karangara Parish is located just next to Bwindi National Park and we have troubles to grow our food because of the high amount of insects/larves and animal crop raiding.
We are therefore trying to sort out struggles by exchanging food crops for other income generating activities along the park. I.e coffee,timber and tourism
