NET is a peer to peer youth ministry which puts into action the church’s mission to evangelize and disciple. NET is an acronym in which N stands for National meaning we come from different parts of the country and we move around the Nation , T stands for Teams; we work in Teams –Diocesean Team which moves around Masaka Diocese and the National Team which travels around th
e country-Uganda and we do this through E which stands for Evangelization -We do this by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through a personal witness of faith, inviting young people to live for Christ, forming young people in Christian character through study and practice of our faith and equipping them with ministry skills. NET provides comprehensive leadership training for leaders and establishing local micro economic projects to build self sustainability and fund ministry. The ministry involves retreats for young people that can go for just hours, a day, days, a week or for even the whole week and some of the ministry activities include:-
1. Large group talks.
2. Small group discussions.
3. Music, worship and Adoration.
4. Dramas, skits and games.
5. Personal sharing.
7. Sacraments. All these are used to empower young people experience the freedom that is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. HISTORY
NET Ministries started in 1981 in the USA as an outreach program from a parish. It was so successful that they decided to start a full time team by 1982. NET then started in Australia in 1988, and then shortly after Canada had its first full time team and NET Ireland followed. In 2004, NET UGANDA began with a team of Australian and Newzelanders, and then in 2005 it had its first team with Ugandans and in 2006, NET started its first full time ministry with a team of only Ugandans which had a successful year ending in 2007. In 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2009/2010, NET Uganda had 8 members on team. From 2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013 NET had a team of 10 members. In 2013/2014 NET Uganda successfully made two teams; Masaka diocesan team with 6 members and the National team having 8 members. In 2014/2015, we are blessed with a National team of 8 members and a Masaka diocesan team of 7 members. These dynamic University graduates carry CHRIST to masses. Most important to be on team, one needs to have a personal committed relationship with Jesus Christ. MAJOR FORMATION PROGRAMMES OF NET MINISTRIES
NET Re-union
For all NET Alumni, friends and families where they have opportunity to catch up, share experiences, bond and build necessary links with all those who have trained with NET Ministries Uganda. NET Training
Every year NET Uganda organizes 16 days of intensive and dynamic youth training, equipping the youth with the leadership and ministry skills to be an effective witness of Jesus Christ. This program targets S.6-leavers, students in higher institutions of learning and those who have finished studies. LEAVEN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
An opportunity to acquire skills of leading others towards targeted goals and achieving desired objectives. Every year NET organizes national leadership training for all leaders facilitated by high profile international speakers. This program aims at forming leaders at individual, family, church and organizational level basing on Christian leadership principles. IMPACT YOUTH CONFERENCE
A dynamic youth holiday makers retreat. This is an end of the year conference for young people organized at HOLY TRINITY COMMUNITY (HTC) Bisange. The program is conducted in streams to cater for different languages, age groups and interests. S.4 AND S.6 LEAVERS PROGRAM
To prepare young people socially, spiritually, physically and economically for the new life in the next stage of education. The goal for this program is to nurture young Catholics with greater vision and purpose. It is always a one week program for S.4 and S.6 leavers. LOCAL/PARISH OUTREACHES. NET is a great resource in working with the parish youth leaders to rise up vibrant and strong youth groups, students’ Associations and youth initiatives at parish level. OUR OBJECTIVES

We provide comprehensive youth ministry training for leaders.

we aim at building a generic parish based youth ministry structure.
