TODAY'S DEVOTION-03/11/2025

The Word Trains You in Righteousness.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16

Righteousness is not just a gift; it’s also a lifestyle. And God’s Word is the training manual for that life. It teaches you how to think, speak, and act in alignment with His nature. The Word doesn't just inform, but it reforms as well.

Every time you open the Bible, you’re being trained. The Holy Spirit uses the Scriptures to correct your course, sharpen your character, and equip you to live uprightly in a fallen world. Without this, we drift. With it, we grow. Start this morning with the posture of a student. Let God instruct your heart, correct your steps, and train you in righteousness.

Prayer Point: Father, I thank You for the instruction of Your Word. I yield to it today. Please train me in righteousness and help me to walk in a way that pleases You. Let my life reflect Your holiness and truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

The Word Keeps You Spiritually Alert.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

Spiritual alertness is vital in the life of every believer. We are called not only to pray but to watch—to be aware, discerning, and sensitive to what is happening in the spirit. One of the greatest tools God has given for this vigilance is His Word. It awakens your inner man and gives you the eyes to see what is unseen.

Dear beloved of God, the enemy often strikes when we are spiritually drowsy. But a heart that is filled with the Word stays awake, alert, and ready. The Scriptures reveal Satan’s tactics, expose hidden danger, and strengthen your ability to resist temptation. When the flesh is weak, the Word empowers the spirit to stand. Begin your day with spiritual eyes wide open. Don’t be caught off guard by the enemy’s traps. Stay in the Word and walk in watchfulness.

Prayer Point: Father, awaken my spirit through Your Word. Help me to be watchful and prayerful, not led by the weakness of the flesh but empowered by the truth of Scripture. Strengthen my discernment and keep me from the path of temptation today. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Good morning, have a bread Sunday to inspire you

Make Room for New Things!

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19

Dragging the past with you tends to hinder your present and future. God is so great, and His abilities are infinite. He is always creating new opportunities and doing new things. Human beings love tradition and most often want to keep to old ways and things (Mark 7:13).

God wants you, as His child, to understand that He is not limited by anything and loves to do new things in the life of His children. Therefore, always expect God to do new things in your life, so that you don’t become bored but have reason to always praise and thank God.

Your life is full of freshness when new things are happening to you (Matthew 9:20–22). Be expectant and make room for new ideas from the Holy Spirit to keep your life, family, business, marriage, etc. always looking lively, fresh, and flourishing. Hallelujah! Be Lively!

Prayer Point: My wonderful Father, thank You for Your words of encouragement. Indeed, You are doing new things in my life. I do away with any old thing that is hindering new things from coming into my life, and I embrace the new things to keep my life fresh and glorious in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Good morning, have a blessed day and welcome to November 2025!

Don’t Just Know About God—Know Him.

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. Philippians 3:10

The Apostle Paul, even after years of ministry and miracles, expressed one heartfelt desire—to know Christ more. This tells us that knowing God is not a one-time event but a lifelong pursuit. You can attend church and serve in various roles but still not truly know Him. God wants to be known, not just discussed.

It’s not enough to read about God or hear about Him from others. Make the effort to know Him for yourself. When you truly know Him, you’ll discover His peace, wisdom, power, and love in ways that transform your life. This kind of knowledge brings deep confidence in God’s faithfulness, especially in hard times. Are you ready to move beyond religion and into relationship? Seek Him daily, and He will reveal Himself. Glory to God! Be an overcomer in Jesus name!

Prayer Point: My precious Father, I thank You for placing the desire to know You in my heart. I want more than head knowledge; I want to experience You daily. Please open my eyes to Your truth and help me walk in a deeper, personal relationship with You. I surrender all to know You more in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Good morning, stay exceedingly & abundantly blessed

God Desires a Relationship With You

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4:8

The Almighty God, the Creator of the heavens and the Earth, desires to have a personal relationship with you. From the very beginning, God walked and talked with Adam in the Garden of Eden. That fellowship was so intimate that nothing separated them until sin entered. God has not changed. He still desires that close walk with His children today.

Dear beloved, do not treat God as a distant deity that only shows up in emergencies. He is your Father and wants to be involved in every area of your life—your thoughts, decisions, dreams, and even your daily routines. Draw near to Him with sincerity, and He promises to draw near to you. Spend time in His Word, speak with Him in prayer, and listen for His voice. God is not hiding from you. He is waiting to reveal Himself to those who seek Him. Let today be the start of a new level of intimacy with God. Hallelujah! Be a world changer!

Prayer Point: My dear heavenly Father, thank You for desiring to have a relationship with me. I long to draw nearer to You every day. Please teach me to walk with You in truth, love, and sincerity. Let me know Your heart and Your voice so that I can walk in closeness with You all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

When Pride Tries to Block the Truth

And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? Acts 13:10

Elymas was threatened by truth. When Paul preached, Elymas tried to turn others away from faith. His pride made him a barrier rather than a bridge to what God was doing.

Sometimes the pressure to be right or to protect your own image can make it hard to receive truth. It’s not always obvious pride; it’s fear disguised as control. But God gently calls us to humble ourselves, to stop resisting Him, and to let His Word lead us deeper into grace.

Prayer Point: Lord, search my heart. Where pride hides, reveal it. Help me yield to Your truth, even when it humbles me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

When Healing Doesn’t Come

Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick. 2 Timothy 4:20

Sometimes, when healing delays or doesn’t come at all, we feel as if we’ve failed—as if we didn’t pray hard enough, believe strong enough, or live holy enough. Paul, the great apostle who healed many and even raised the dead, writes this quiet line near the end of his ministry: “Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.” There’s no miracle story attached; no divine intervention. Just a friend left behind in weakness.

It’s a reminder that even in the early Church, not every healing happened. Sometimes, the mystery of God’s will is left unexplained, and we’re invited to not fix it but trust Him in it. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of unanswered prayers. Maybe you’ve watched someone you love struggle with pain, and you’ve questioned if your faith was enough. But please know this: Your worth is not measured by how quickly things get better. God doesn’t love you less in the waiting. His presence is not proven by perfection, but by peace that stays even when outcomes don’t change.

Prayer Point: Lord, help me release the pressure to explain or perform healing. Teach me to trust You even when prayers feel unanswered. Strengthen me with Your peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good morning, be blessed

When Bitterness Distorts Wisdom

And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom. 2 Samuel 16:23

Ahithophel was once known for his wisdom. But when David wronged his family, bitterness quietly settled in. Years later, he joined Absalom’s rebellion and turned his brilliance against the very one he once supported.

Maybe you’ve been hurt deeply, and that wound has gone unspoken for too long. Bitterness, if left unhealed, can make you sabotage even what you once cared about. God wants to free you from the weight of hidden grudges so you can walk in peace again. Let go, surrender, and leave everything in God’s hands. Be healed in Christ!

Prayer Point: Lord Jesus, heal the bitterness in me. Help me release what’s quietly poisoning my heart. I want to walk in wholeness, not hidden offense, in Jesus’ name.

Good morning, have a blessed week ahead!

Wisdom in Asking

And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built, and the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. 1 Kings 10:4-5

The Queen of Sheba came with questions, curiosity, and a desire for wisdom. She traveled far; not for riches but for truth. And what she found in Solomon’s court left her breathless with awe and reverence.

Sometimes we think that it is a weakness to seek clarity or ask questions. Maybe you’ve been on a journey of faith, longing for answers and deeper understanding. Keep coming to God with your questions and even to spiritual leaders and mentors who are filled with His Spirit. The wisdom you're longing for begins with Him and in being teachable.

Prayer Point: Lord God, I come with my questions and wonder. Lead me to Your truth. Give me wisdom that’s rooted in You alone in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good morning, have a great day ahead!

When You Trade What’s Priceless

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright. Genesis 25:34

Esau gave up his birthright for a temporary craving. In a moment of exhaustion and hunger, he chose relief over long-term blessing. It’s a warning for all of us: Don’t trade what’s sacred for something quick and easy.

Maybe you’re tired, emotionally drained, and spiritually dry, and the pressure is making compromise look appealing. But your identity, your calling, your peace—these are too precious to sell for momentary relief. Hold on. The hunger will pass, but your inheritance is eternal.

Prayer Point: Abba Father, help me treasure what You’ve given me. Strengthen me when I’m weak and keep my heart from compromise. I choose Your way over quick fixes, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good morning, have a blessed weekend

Obedience in Uncomfortable Places

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, Acts 9:11

Ananias was told to go to Saul, the very man who persecuted believers. It didn’t make sense. It didn’t feel safe. But God was doing something new, and He needed Ananias’ obedience to begin Saul’s transformation into Paul.

Sometimes God will call you into places that stretch your comfort. Sometimes it won’t make sense, but you should trust His voice all the more, even when the assignment feels hard. He’s doing more than you can see. Stay obedient, beloved!

Prayer Point: Lord, help me obey when it’s uncomfortable. Give me courage to trust Your bigger plan. Use me in someone else’s transformation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

When Jealousy Distorts Judgment

And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. 1 Samuel 17:28

Sometimes, the pressure to be understood – especially by those closest to us – feels heavy. In a world where everyone has an opinion about what you should be doing, the sting of misjudgment can wound deeply, especially when your heart is in the right place. Eliab saw David step forward, and he lashed out. Maybe it was jealousy or the fear of being overlooked. But his reaction shows how comparing yourself to others clouds your vision and keeps you from cheering others on.

You might be in a season when people misunderstand your heart. Maybe they think you’re trying to prove something when all you want is to obey the small stirring God placed inside you. Don’t be discouraged by their loud voices. God knows what He planted in you. Keep going, for He’s the One Who called you.

Prayer Point: Abba Father, thank You for knowing my heart even when others don’t. Help me stay faithful to Your voice and not be swayed by criticism or misjudgment. Strengthen me to keep moving forward in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good morning, God bless you
