Uganda Halal Bureau and the Uganda Small Scale Indsutries' Association have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This MOU is geared towards using halal certification as a technical and trade tool for the growth of small scale industries in Uganda.

🌙 Ramadhan Drive 2026 – Bombo

Alhamdulillah, together with SALAM TV , we spent part of this blessed month in Bombo at Bombo Secondary School, sharing Ramadhan hampers with students and members of the surrounding community who pray at the masjid within the school.

This was the second part of our Ramdhan Drive.

It was a simple but very meaningful visit — filled with warm smiles, kind duas and a beautiful reminder of what Ramadhan is truly about: caring for one another and showing up where it matters.

We are deeply grateful to Mandela Millers Kinyara Sugar Fresh Dairy and Vital Tomosis Dairy [the makers of MilkMan UHT Milk] who supported this outreach and helped us spread a little ease and joy. May Allah reward you all abundantly. 🤍

Uganda Halal Bureau is honored to receive 20 cartons of Light Brown Sugar from Kinyara Sugar Ltd, a valued halal partner, in support of our Ramadhan 2026 outreach to needy Muslim families.

The contribution was authorized by Mr. Sekhar Veedi, Marketing Manager of Kinyara Sugar Ltd, and formally received by Mr. Serunjogi Moses Akram, Public and Corporate Relations Manager, Uganda Halal Bureau.

It is inspiring to see halal certified product manufacturers not only uphold standards of excellence, but also extend compassion and responsibility to the community.

Today, 13th February 2026, Uganda Halal Bureau (UHB) received 16 cartons of Halal Certified Supreme Maize and Wheat Flour from Mandela Millers Uganda in support of our 2026 Ramadhan Drive. The contribution was handed over by Mr. Mahad Twaha, Head of Marketing at Mandela Millers Uganda, to Mr. Serunjogi Moses Akram, Public and Corporate Relations Manager at UHB.

UHB and Mandela Millers Uganda both strive for excellence in all that we do, and it is at this level of excellence that our partnership continues to grow. We sincerely thank Mandela Millers Uganda for their generosity and commitment to supporting communities during the blessed month of Ramadhan.

Uganda Halal Bureau [UHB] and The South African National Halaal Authority [SANHA] carried out a joint halal audit to determine whether Tianran Ltd, a gelatin manufacturer in Uganda, is eligible for the export of products to Halal conscious markets. The partnership between UHB and SANHA is further indication of UHB 's strategic commitment to Uganda's export development and Halal sector growth
