This will probably be my last post on this site. As many of you know, Elaine and I are moving out of state. It has been my distinct honor to have served in the Aberdeen Fire Department for 55 years and serving as Fire Chief, President and in all ranks. I have been a part of this community since 1958 and was excited when I was elected to serve as your Mayor in 2007 and served until 2015 ( three terms). We will be back occasionally to visit! Take care and know that this City will always have a special place in our hearts!

Haven’t posted in awhile on this page so a little update. As most of you know I have been working with the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce as the Executive Director for the last almost 3 years. I have enjoyed working with the Aberdeen business community and by extension continuing to support our great city. Looking forward to some exciting changes and opportunities in the future so stay tuned! Happy New Year to all and take time to enjoy those around you and pay attention to what is happening in your city.

I was honored to be able to vote the first day of early voting. I very rarely vote a straight party line ticket and this time was no exception. I voted for the candidates that I felt would take care of business for our state, county and city. Party has some weight, but is not a deciding factor.

Pay attention to what is going on! Not to the smoke and mirrors, but what is actually happening!

Happy New Year to all who follow this page!
To those of you who don't know in October of 2016 I accepted the position of Executive Director of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce. I am enjoying working with the businesses in and around the City of Aberdeen.

Very honored to be the announcer for the Aberdeen Christmas Street parade on Saturday December 3rd. Looking forward to a good day.

It is February 6, 2016 and we still have a vacancy on the Aberdeen City Council, the election was held over 3 months ago. The Mayor nominated Sean Debonis (one of two tying for last spot on Council during election) and the council voted him down. It is now time for the Mayor to step away from partisan politics and nominate Stephen Smith to fill the open council spot. It is the right thing to do and will uphold the election process.

It is now the 6th of February, 2016 and we still have a vacancy on our City Council in Aberdeen. The City election was held on November

Letter went out this week to folks in Aberdeen advising I was running for reelection as Mayor of Aberdeen. I have been honored to serve as your Mayor these past 8 years and although we have accomplished much, there is still more to do. I ask for your support on Nov. 3, 2015, come out and vote, evert vote counts! Polls will open at 7 am and close at 8pm, Aberdeen Senior Center, Franklin St. Don't waste your vote by staying home.
