On behalf of our Veterans and their Families through Fisher House Foundation, Million Thanks for Saturday's 12th Annual Chuck de Melker Legacy Ride. Our effort relies 100% on Volunteers and in-kind sponsors so that all Funds Raised go to Fisher House Foundation. Cyclists riding virtually or in person totaled 83 with 8 volunteers thrown in on event day. Special recognition to Hopkins Farm Brewery for the invaluable venue and their graciousness. Happy Birthday!!

Since 1790 the U.S. Coast Guard has been ready to jump into action wherever necessary, fighting in World War II before Pearl Harbor, taking down pirate havens, and even leading U.S. Army soldiers into combat. Today we wish them a very Happy Birthday!!

Medal of Honor Recipients embody the values that we as a country strive to uphold- courage, bravery, and the desire and dedication to do what is right during the most difficult circumstances.
To date, 3,511 recipients, past and present, have received the Medal and represent each branch of the Armed Forces.

Fisher House Foundation is proud to have served the Carpenter family. Lance Corporal Kyle Carpenter suffered grievous wounds after shielding another Marine from a gr***de blast in Afghanistan. Somehow, he survived, and Fisher House was there to help him and his family. Kyle’s story is remarkable. At the age of 24 Kyle received the Medal of Honor for his brave actions, making him the youngest current recipient of the Medal of Honor.

Dianna's Chesapeake Spokes Saturday C/D Ride, no drop for this week is General Washington's Perry Point Ride https://ridewithgps.com/route/29929699, 31.6 miles horizontal and 1906 ft vertical.

We will stop for refreshments at the Chesapeake Bay Coffee Company in the heart of Northeast, MD.

Start and stop at Historic Roger's Tavern, 259 Broad Street, Perryville, MD 21903. Pull out at 9 am, Saturday 14 Aug 2021 after the photos.

Been a bit worried about the approaching cold front all week, but we should beat it back to the Susquehanna Flats, no problem.
