Great morning of training at St. Andrew’s School. Staff participated in Intruderology training focused on preparedness for active-shooter and violent-intruder incidents, including the responsibilities of teachers and how they can respond effectively during an emergency at their school.
The training also brought together local public-safety partners, including the Abilene Police Department, Abilene Fire Department, Dickinson County Dispatch/911, Dickinson County EMS, and Dickinson County Emergency Management. Collaborative training like this strengthens coordination and preparedness across our community.

Confidence is increasing in a line of storms moving quickly east across the area this evening. These storms will be capable of producing widespread damaging winds, especially across north-central KS. Be sure to keep an eye on the weather this evening, particularly if you've got outdoor plans.
