Get your CSA at Gray Raven Farm
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an alternative model of local agriculture that creates a direct relationship and mutual partnership between the farmer and the consumer. The farmer grows food for the people; the people support the farm and both share in the inherent risks and potential abundance. By joining our CSA you are directly supporting us, your farmers, and promoting locally grown food. In exchange you will receive the highest quality, most nutrient dense, most flavorful produce that is harvested on the day that you receive it. Still not sure if a CSA is for you? Check out: https://www.localharvest.org/csa/ to see the benefits for you and your farm community.
Gray Raven Farm
We started out raising a few dairy goats and honey bees for our own use for our self-sufficient life style. The herd grew and the bees multiplied and we found the need for an outlet for the abundance of our “Milk & Honey”, yeah I know, it’s a cliché. We started making Goat Milk Soap and selling that and Pure Local Honey at Farmers Markets and Fairs. As nature will do, our 3 goats are now 18 and we’ve been very fortunate with not losing hives to “colony collapse disorder” and growing our honey production. Then the Bradley Farm became available with 17 acres and a Farm Store. We jumped at the chance to expand our farm and farming which brings us to offering our first CSA to the community.
The Farm Store hours are Wed. – Sun. 9am – 5pm, closing time in the summer may be extended.
Our Growing Commitment
We are dedicated to providing all our customers with the very best quality and variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers and other products we offer at the farm. We will only use healthy and sustainable farming practices in growing your food and never use chemicals, GMO’s or any other non-organic method in producing the food we’ll share with you. We are committed to customer satisfaction and will do our very best in providing the crops and products you enjoy. We welcome your input to help us keep that promise.
How our part works
From June 21, 2017, the first day of summer, we will provide you with a choice of at least 5 different seasonal vegetables, fruits, herbs to choose from each week. Vegetables will be in bundles, packages or cartons depending on the variety. Choose 5 if you like (or) trade any choice with a dozen of our Farm Fresh Eggs, ½ lb. of our Pure Honey, Goat Cheese, or other product we offer within reason. USDA meats & poultry may be included for an additional charge. Your choices will be freshly picked for pick up on Wednesdays or Saturdays between 3pm – 6 pm. We ask that you choose your pick up day so we can prepare ahead of time.
How your part works
The cost for our full season CSA is $500. June 21, 2017 – October 21, 2017
You are not required to come and work on the farm unless you want to, help is always appreciated. Pick your day for picking up your food. Call ahead if you need to change your day or time. That’s about it!

The Stage has already been set, all we have left to do is create a place for magic and mystery to come alive. Well, my friends, that event will take place at the base of the very Mountain that is spoken of in this Harry Potter Post. Wizards, Wands and all things magic is an event taking place June 17 at the Farm located across from the access road to IIvermorny's School.
