Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Morgan "Buhbee" Williams. Buhbee passed away yesterday. He was an awesome person who made all of us smile! Buhbee loved his time at the Adamsville Senior Center where he participated in all the activities. His smile and laughter along with the way he would loudly say "YEAH" will be greatly missed. But, we have faith that he now has a new body and is no longer confined to a wheelchair! I will post arrangements as soon as they are made available to me. Rest in peace sweet Buhbee, we love you.

We received this message asking for help in locating her lost dog here in Adamsville. If you have any knowledge about the dog, please contact her using the phone number listed below.
Asking for help finding or looking out for my pup. I’ve already contacted the police department and the humane society. We just moved to Adamsville over on Debby Drive, during potty time earlier today our fur baby broke his chain. We have a lot of dogs around our neighborhood which he isn’t use to. We’ve been looking for hours for him, asked neighbors even wondered in the wooded areas near by, searching for him. If anyone has any information please Contact me at (205)484-8878. He looks mean by his size but he’s sweet and a little skittish, he loves other dogs so that’s mainly where we’ve been looking. We just want our baby back safe and sound.

Happy Severe Weather Awareness Week!
The first step to getting prepared for severe weather is to make an emergency plan!
Make a plan today. Your family may not be together if a disaster strikes, so it is important to know which types of disasters could affect your area.
Step 1 - Put a plan together by considering the following things: how will I receive alerts and warnings, shelter considerations, evacuation routes, communication plan and methods (more on this piece later this month), when do I need my kit and/or go bags?
Step 2- Consider specific needs of your household.
As you prepare your plan tailor your plans and supplies to your specific daily living needs and responsibilities. Discuss your needs and responsibilities and how people in the network can assist each other with communication, care of children, business, pets or specific needs like operating medical equipment. Create your own personal network for specific areas where you need assistance.
Step 3: Create your plan!
Here is a great template from The American Red Cross to get you started: https://rdcrss.org/2NGTbFp

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Jenny Lynne Gilliland who passed away yesterday. Jenny Lynne was known by most people in Adamsville for her many years at Gus's Hot Dogs where she worked with her mother Sandy and Theresa. She also worked at Adamsville One Stop. Knowing most people by name, she was always there to offer a smile and a hug. Gus's Hot Dogs will be closed today. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
We would like to CONGRATULATE our beautiful friend and colleague, Gayle Murray on her retirement today. Gayle has been a magistrate at the City of Adamsville for almost 12 years and she will be greatly missed. It's been an absolute pleasure working with her. You could always count on her to be a smiling face when you entered the building. And just a little something from me to Gayle, "don't forget to wear the khaki pants!" We love you Gayle! She didn't want a big retirement party, so the ladies at City Hall made her a balloon arch, a beautiful cake and a home cooked lunch.
