The large amount of law enforcement vehicles just east of Adel on Tuesday June 2, 2026 is a local law enforcement training exercise. No need to be alarmed...it's just another way Dallas County is working to keep it's residents safe.

Training Notice – June 2

From 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on June 2, residents may notice a large law enforcement presence at 25713 Highway 6, just west of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, as we conduct a scheduled training session.

Armored vehicles and SERT teams will be participating in the training exercise.

There is no danger to the public — this is only a training event. We simply wanted to provide a heads up in case you see increased activity in the area.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue training to better serve and protect our community.

Dallas County Motor Vehicle office will be closed at 12:00 pm this Wednesday June 3, 2026 for employee training and will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday. Thanks for your understanding as we work to serve you better!

Bridge Closing West of Dallas Center

NOTICE to all dust control vendors and residents served by dust control vendors:

Dallas County Road Department is asking all commercial and private vendors to delay dust control spraying on gravel roads until Tuesday, May 26, 2026. This will allow road crews enough time to properly prepare all locations before application, helping ensure the dust control application performs more effectively.

F90 Road Closure South of DeSoto/Van Meter

F90 will be closed to thru traffic from Osage Avenue to R Avenue for a pavement widening and rehabilitation project beginning Tuesday, May 26th. Thru traffic should follow the marked detour route on Interstate 80 from 169 to R22 (Ute Avenue).
