The latest blessing through Kiwanis? A grant for a brand new swing set. “Thank you” Harvey, for supporting the Boys and Girls Club, the Salvation Army and your community.

This was Rotary Power in Action. We can’t see their faces, but they were ALL SMILES! As they did “the most good!”

Individuals like these Rotary members help our community to thrive. Their actions speak louder than words.

We want to say thank you to “Sherry & John Murdaugh” for their generous gifts to our Angel Tree. They gave not 1 or 2 but 3 cart loads of gifts for children. She arrived not long after we’d received well over 100 angels from Kimberly Clark. The Murdaughs said more than anything, they wanted to be a blessing to their community (specifically Allendale). Add this to drop ins from toys for tots and others, it’s a good day in Aiken.

South Carolina boy’s Christmas wish granted

The Salvation Army Angel Tree has been serving and Aiken county since 1929. This year has been no different despite the effects of COVID-19. Our mission and goal has remained true through it all. The need is much greater this year as you can imagine, many families have struggled to make ends meet and adding the pressure of Christmas has not made it any easier. With the help of our community partners, families and friends of The Salvation Army, we can continue our tradition in serving our great counties of Aiken Allendale Barnwell and Edgefield. We still have many angels and their wishes to adopt please visit anyone of our angel tree locations to sponsor your Christmas angel today and help us to continue to grant Christmas wishes this year God bless and merry Christmas!

The bells are out, the trees have Angel tags on them. We need our community’s help meeting the need. We cannot do it alone. The monies raised at our kettles help us support the needs within our community year around for things like rental and utility assistance, free food and clothing for those in need. Please remember to give this holiday season as many in our community have great needs year around.

The need has always been there – this year, it just happens to be greater. Help us and Candace as we rescue Christmas for those facing poverty this season.
