Just a reminder that we're looking for volunteers to join the museum. Our volunteers help us greet visitors, answer questions from the public, give tours, assist with educational programs and exhibits, and help in the gift store. If you're interested in donating a few hours a week to a wonderful community site, please join us for the Volunteer Orientation on Monday.

Our annual volunteer orientation meeting will take place this coming Monday, April 27 from 11 am to 3 pm. The event starts with a fun talk by the museum's director about some of the shady characters of the Winter Colony. After the talk, the museum will provide a light lunch for the attendees. After lunch, several members of the museum staff will talk to attendees about how the museum operates, how volunteers help us with the day-to-day tasks of the museum, and then the day ends with a tour of the exhibit galleries.

Please RSVP to the museum's Events & Volunteer Coordinator Ian Mini at 803-642-2015.
