We are asking for the community’s help in protecting our schools and district facilities.

Recently, we have experienced multiple incidents of vandalism, break-ins, broken windows, and other destruction of district property. These actions create safety concerns, disrupt operations, and require resources and money that would otherwise be used to support students.

District property belongs to the communities we serve. Our schools are places where students learn, activities take place, and community events are held. We ask everyone to help take pride in these facilities and treat them with care and respect.

Please be aware, many District facilities are equipped with video surveillance systems that monitor school grounds and buildings. All incidents of vandalism, theft, and property damage are reported to the Alaska State Troopers for investigation.

We encourage parents, guardians, and community members to speak with children about the importance of respecting public property and making good choices.

Thank you to the many community members who help look after our schools and report concerns. By working together, we can keep our facilities safe, welcoming, and available for current and future generations of students.

Grizzlies Throwback Special | High School Prom 2026

Our Grizzlies truly shined as they danced the night away at Prom 2026! ✨ GMSHS students wore their finest outfits and brightest smiles as they celebrated friendship, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will become part of their cherished memories.

A heartfelt appreciation goes to our GMSHS administrators, teachers, and staff for helping transform our school into a magical and memorable place that our students will treasure for years to come!

Grizzlies Throwback Special | Academic Decathlon 2026 (Day 4)

On May 5–8, 2026, Alaska Excel, in partnership with Kuspuk School District, proudly hosted the Academic Decathlon 2026 at George Morgan Sr. High School. The Academic Decathlon challenged students to showcase their knowledge, skills, and talents in Math, Science, Social Studies, Speech, and Writing through a series of exciting academic competitions and activities.

This remarkable event would not have been possible without the unwavering support and dedication of Mr. Erich Henry Kuball, the leadership of Dr. Madeline Aguillard, KSD Superintendent, and Mr. Bart Mwarey, Principal of Kalskag Schools. Special recognition also goes to the committed Alaska Excel staff led by Mr. Tony Wilson, Director of Outreach for Alaska Excel, and Ms. Christa Wilson, CFO of Alaska Excel, together with the hardworking teachers and staff of GMSHS, AJSHS, CVSS, JESS, and JJSS.

The event concluded with smiles, cheers, and celebrations as students proudly brought home medals and certificates for their outstanding performances in the various Academic Decathlon 2026 competitions.

Indeed, Academic Decathlon 2026 was an unforgettable experience and truly one for the books
