Staff Spotlight ⭐️
Meet Mackenzie!
Mackenzie has been with Thrive for over 4 years! She is an incredible support to our BCBA’s, technicians, and our clients. She is someone the technicians can consistently turn to for guidance, support, and reassurance. Her strong knowledge of our clients and their individual needs makes her a valuable resource to the entire team. This allows her to help problem-solve situations while also taking some of the stress and pressure off of the BCBAs.
One of Mackenzie’s greatest strengths is her patience. She gives clients the time and opportunity they need to respond before stepping in, which promotes autonomy, independence, and confidence.
Mackenzie is also exceptionally receptive to feedback. She is not afraid to ask, “Am I doing this right?” and genuinely wants to know how she can improve. When given feedback, she listens, applies it, and makes the necessary changes. Her willingness to learn and continuously improve is something that makes her such a strong technician and teammate.
Beyond her clinical strengths, Mackenzie is simply a joy to be around. She brings a positive energy to the clinic and has a way of making the workday more enjoyable for everyone around her. She is also well known for her friendly talent of “stirring the pot”—but thankfully, it is always in good fun and adds plenty of laughs to the day!
Mackenzie is a true asset to our team. Her patience, knowledge, dependability, openness to feedback, and willingness to support both staff and clients make such a positive impact on our clinic. We are incredibly lucky to have Kenzie on our team, and we truly appreciate everything she brings to it!
Mackenzie stated:
“Working in ABA is extraordinarily rewarding. The best part of being a behavior tech? Watching clients build independence and celebrating every single small win along the way. 🧩✨
From daily living skills like using a spoon, brushing teeth, and doing laundry to communication, sharing, and appropriate play with peers and toys, real progress doesn't happen overnight. It’s the steady, incremental wins over weeks and months that add up to life-changing growth. Small steps lead to big victories!”💡💙
