Zachary's Heart

Angie so wanted to be there for her husband's graduation. Her 14 year old son and 1 year old daughter had been missing their soldier so much since he'd been gone. She just wasn't sure how it could happen. Thats when Zachary's Heart stepped in and told Angie that we wanted to help. As you can see it was a glorious reunion. ❤️🎶

Our goal is a lofty one. No soldier celebrates alone.

"I didn't know how I was gonna do this" was Angela's response when Zachary's Heart contacted her to let her know we would like to help her get to her son's graduation. But she kept thinking God would make a way. ❤️🎶

When she told little brother that they would get to go see big brother he started to cry. Proud little brother is always talking about his brother being in the Army.

These are the conversations that live in our hearts. It's the love and pride behind these words that keep us determined to help more and more of our Army family.

Jennifer had been having some medical issues and had been off of work so going to her son's graduation was a long shot. Until Zachary's Heart reached out to her and shared that we wanted to make it happen. She said that she was in shock as this was one of the kindest things that has ever happened to her.

It lifts our spirits every time we contact a family to help. It reminds us of Zach and his kind and giving soul. It fuels our desire to help more.

One month after Zachary went to be with the Lord, I was outside with two of my granddaughters. They were enjoying the fall weather. I realized how the season was changing without my boy. The sky changed and as I sat on a glider that Zach would sit on to look out at the beauty of the world. I watched the girls play in the leaves. I looked up and saw the sky. As the sun was going down I noticed how it looked like a heart. Maybe it is only me that can see it, but to me, it was a message of comfort, as Zach had a heart of gold. We stayed outside to enjoy the weather and sky. As the sky was changing we watched God's work as he painted the sky. Before we went inside, we were all three in awe as one of the girls said, "Look! A cross in the sky." We knew that Zach had been with us, God had provided us a beautiful message.
