I felt ✨especially✨ driven to super boost the Library's children section after my best friend introduced me to this "A Kid's Book About..." series. We sat together and read a few to one another one night and the amount of radical healing that we both felt take seed that night was so powerful that I started looking for as many topics in the series as I could find.

These have all been added to the collection and are available for checkout. Message me to request a book!

BANNED BOOKS & CONTROVERSIAL COMICS!!!

The People's Library ABQ *proudly* stands with Sophie Labelle of Assigned Male Comics in ALL areas of her life.

We vehemently believe:
• Trans existence is resistance
• EVERYONE deserves access to the full spectrum of pleasure--from the wholesome to the NSFW
• Kinks aren't criminal

This library will remain a safe and inclusive space, bringing you works from the radical left, the disenfranchised, and the historically othered and ignored.

We will be outspoken in our defense of all those who stand for a better world and we are absolutely THRILLED to carry the below comics by Sophie.

Saw a post in a q***r group from someone looking to borrow Stone Butch Blues and I was so happy to chime in that this Library exists and we have a copy of it. We had it in their hands 25 minutes after they posted looking for a copy.

bell hooks died today at the age of 69 and I'm positively heartbroken about it. I will definitely be checking out one of her books from the Library and giving it a re-read this week.

Hey friends and fellow readers! It's me, your friendly neighbourhood anarchist librarian and community resource and, guess what? IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

I started this little anarchist Library in October of 2020 and ALL I really want for my birthday is for the Library to be (somewhat) self sustaining. If we got two more $20 patrons, four more $10 patrons, or eight more $5 patrons, our monthly book subscriptions would be covered and that would make me sublimely happy.
