Hollywood movie production in ABQ

While most small businesses in New Mexico are forced to close and over 100,000 workers are unemployed due to 'Emergency' health orders that arbitrarily pick winners and losers..........Hollywood film crews are allowed to continue their 'essential' film making.

Last night a Hollywood production overtook a NE Albuquerque residential street. Multiple cars/trucks/buses/motorhomes with CA, TX & some NM plates.

This is essential but #Smallbiz is not?

Within their epic legacy, the Marines have consistently been ready when the nation was least ready, demonstrating a tradition of fighting and winning, always with a willingness to engage and determination to defeat any enemy. Their victories & achievements, in both war and peace, on and off the field, have not only created significant moments in history for our nation, but each of those moments was a battle won.

Energy Scorecard - American Energy Alliance

ATTENTION NM voters. You should be aware that all of our Congressional delegation scored ZERO on an important energy scorecard:

Congressman Ben Ray Lujan: 0%
Congresswoman Deborah Haaland: 0%
Congresswoman Xochitl Torres Small: 0%

The American Energy Alliance Scorecard does three things:

1) Educate the public about how their representatives vote on the most important energy votes of the year.

2) Identifies who the true free market energy champions are in Congress.

3) Gives voters the information they need to hold elected officials accountable for their legislative actions regarding energy policy.

Thanks for joining the AEA efforts to help combat rising energy prices. We don’t want to bug you that often, so let us know what energy issues interest you, and we’ll keep your inbox happy.

Kamala Harris on Twitter

From what we've heard, some incumbents & candidates for office in our state say that when people drive around a neighborhood with flags and signs supporting their candidate (Donald J. Trump vehicle parades from what we understand), this is considered voter suppression and/or intimidation.

We asked NM Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver if what Kamala Harris did (talking with a PA system directly to voters waiting in line) is considered voter suppression and/or intimidation in New Mexico.

No answer...yet.

And no divisive bickering on this point either, the legislation putting the issue up for #Election2020 had strong support from
Democrat and Republican lawmakers.

When things don't go like the progressives want on election night...

In New Mexico, it's not uncommon for ballots to continue to be found and counted. Remember what happened in the 2018 CD-2 Representative Xochitl Torres Small vs Yvette Herrell for Congress?

Voters are being told (forewarned, some might say groomed,) by our Secretary of State: "This is normal and doesn't mean anything fraudulent or amis is going on."

Vote yes for PRC reform

NMBC has supported PRC reform (Constitutional Amendment Question #1 on your ballot) since our inception in 2009. Why an appointed PRC and why now?

In the midst of unprecedented division between political agendas in Santa Fe, the legislation to allow for an appointed PRC was supported by a large majority of both Democrat and Republican legislators.

Read why the time is right to make this change in an Op-Ed by Democratic Party of New Mexico and Republican Party of New Mexico Senators Peter Wirth, Steven P. Neville and William H. Payne:

Wouldn't it be nice to have something on #Election2020 ballot that both major political parties agreed on?

Constitutional Amendment Question #1 had bi-partisan support when it passed the NM Legislature and the NM PRC’s troubled history is an indicator the current district wide ‘popularity contest’ structure is not working.

USGS says this largely undrilled section has 46+ billion barrels. Maybe poor little New Mexico can free up some of its $25+ billion O&G royalty money to zero-out its income tax, and attract some outside investment?
I agree with the tariffs as we are in a trade war and losing desperately, under a surrender flag for decades. It will cause some immediate issues, but these will be resolved with the propagation of improved economic growth within the country, it will work out for the best. If NM wants to improve it's economic conditions in relation to farming, then put tariffs on chile from Mexico as we have lost 38,000 acres of chile to Mexico production from cheaper labor and other inputs. I also agree with the United Steelworkers Union that said they had been trying to get the Democrats to level the playing field for 30 years, but they were non-responsive as their foreign supporters did not want higher tariffs. Now if the unions don't destroy the industries, we can rebuild them. Under the Smoot-Hawley Act which is used as the universal argument against defending our industries from retaliaation, but retaliation consisted of higher tariffs on imported ag products to that country and destroyed the ag industry, but today, we don't ship ag products to many Asian countries because of their protectionist policies protecting their farmers, try shipping rice to Japan or China.
