This is the right decision to keep New Mexicans safe. Wear a mask, get vaccinated, save lives. #AllTogetherNM #MaskUpNM

No one wants to go backward. No one wants a full hospital turning away New Mexicans who need care due to another preventable surge of serious illness.

So let's mask up – New Mexico is temporarily reinstating the indoor mask requirement to stop the spread and protect New Mexicans.

Getting vaccinated and wearing a mask are the best tools we have to protect our health care resources and ensure our economy can continue to rebound. Please get vaccinated. Don't risk regretting not getting vaccinated – find vaccines near you today at www.VaccineNM.org

Breakthrough COVID-19 cases don't mean the vaccines aren't working – in fact, the data is crystal clear that they're a tiny fraction of cases.

Nearly all cases nationwide are among those who have not yet been vaccinated.

There's a simple and easy path to bridging the broadband divide. Let's take it.

Lack of broadband access is a public health issue. Telemedicine is critical for patients in New Mexico. We need a permanent federal subsidy to help everyone get online & connect with healthcare resources easily and safely. Glad to have @SenLujan & @teresafornm advocating for broadband! #nmpol http://www.lcsun-news.com/in-depth/opinion/2021/05/22/importance-building-americans-broadband-network-infrastructure/5132948001/

It was an incredible honor to work with Rep. Debbie Armstrong to get this bill passed. Medical aid in dying is about autonomy and compassion. We are glad that people in New Mexico now have options. #anewday4NM #nmpol
One New Mexican’s touching and insightful story highlights the importance of the recently-passed End-of-Life Options Act, sponsored by Rep. Debbie Armstrong & Day Hochman-Vigil, Representative for New Mexico House District 15.
New Mexico Rep. Debbie Armstrong address the Health & Human Services Committee, October 26, 2021.
Thank you for your service to District 17 and our state Rep. Debbie Armstrong!
18 ABQ House Dems today proposed a comprehensive package to address violent crime in the city & state. Legislation includes increased recruitment & retention of police, pretrial detention & supervision reforms, & investments in our communities to stop crime at its roots. House Democratic members will work in a bi-partisan fashion with their House and Senate colleagues and urge Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to place these critical items on the call for the upcoming 30-day session. Advocates include Javier Martínezz, NM State Representative Gail Chasey, State Representative Elizabeth Thomson, Rep. Moe Maestas, Day Hochman-Vigil, Representative for New Mexico House District 15, State Representative Daymon Ely, Meredith for New Mexico, Joy 4 New Mexico, Patricia for New Mexico, Rep. Debbie Armstrong, Rep. Christine Trujillo HD 25, G. Andrés Romero For NM State Representative District 10, NM Representative Georgene Louis, Brittney Barreras for NM House District 12, Representative Debbie Sariñana, Natalie for New Mexico, Marian Matthews for HD27 & Rep. Pamelya Herndon. “This is an all-hands-on-deck crime-fighting package to bring down the disturbing levels of violent crime plaguing our streets,” said Rep. Moe Maestas, who represents the west side of Albuquerque. “We know from decades of tried and failed policies under the leadership of both parties that this issue is larger than bumper sticker solutions or simply adding longer criminal sentences. We must address the crime crisis at multiple levels, from our courts and police departments to policies which have shown success in rehabilitating and preventing New Mexicans from turning to crime in the first place.” “This package takes a multi-faceted approach to address violent crime in our communities,” said Representative and House Judiciary Committee Chair Gail Chasey. “What’s become evident is that while we have been increasing our investments in long-term solutions like education, families, and mental and behavioral health, much more needs to be done to address the violence happening today. This crime-fighting package incorporates both lasting and immediate solutions at many levels, to ensure that our law enforcement officers, courts, schools, and communities work together to make our streets safer.”
The End-of-Life Options Act has officially taken effect in New Mexico. A huge shoutout to Rep. Debbie Armstrong & Rep. Day Hochman-Vigil, Representative for New Mexico House District 15 for all their work to ensure that terminally-ill New Mexicans have compassionate options.
