🏠 Investing in Housing. Strengthening New Mexico Communities.

Housing New Mexico was proud to join Congresswoman Rep. Melanie Stansbury and local organizations to highlight the impact of Community Project Funding for housing across New Mexico.

Federal funding helps local organizations turn resources into real solutions—from creating and preserving affordable homes to expanding opportunities for New Mexicans facing housing insecurity. These investments strengthen communities and help ensure our neighbors have access to safe, stable, affordable housing.

💬 “As the state housing finance agency and the pass-through entity of these important federal resources, Housing New Mexico sees firsthand the impact of the work being accomplished to support New Mexico families,” said Housing New Mexico Director of Community Development Kellie Tillerson. “This funding will support the stability of New Mexico’s First Congressional District’s most vulnerable residents. By creating stable housing opportunities, these families will be positioned to live more prosperous lives and contribute positively to the District 1 community. We are grateful to Congresswoman Stansbury for her ongoing support of families with children who are struggling with housing and thank her for making $250,000 available for transitional housing for families in Albuquerque. Housing New Mexico is proud to partner with providers statewide to deliver services at the local level.”

We’re grateful to our community partners and federal leaders for investing in the housing needs of New Mexicans and helping move our state toward a stronger housing future.

Housing New Mexico will be featured in the Public Television program, illustrating how self-supporting, quasi-governmental state entities bridge funding gaps that private markets cannot address alone. The segment will detail how strategic deployment of federal tax credits, housing bonds, and state trust funds helps construct single-family homes, energy-efficient rental units and preserve aging housing stock for vulnerable populations.
