The Army National Guard dates all the way back to 1636, and we were there for the first shots at the start of the Revolutionary War. We stand ready to protect our country and state against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
"Although eyewitnesses disagree on how it happened and who fired first, the first shot of the Revolutionary War was fired at the Battle of Lexington, in the early morning of April 19, 1775. The 'battle" was actually a skirmish when British soldiers enroute to Concord came across armed colonial MILITIAMEN."
