She finds it rewarding when attorneys and paralegals appreciate her hard work. Nichole stays focused during busy times by reminding herself it's temporary and taking a deep breath. She loves listening to exciting hearings and is prepping for intriguing projects like upcoming personnel board meetings.
In her free time, Nichole enjoys spending time with family and exploring the Sandia Mountains⛰️with her dogs Gaia, Rosie, and Drake. One of her favorite movies is But I'm a Cheerleader 📣 We're lucky to have her on our team! 🐶🙌😎

Meet Mercedes Lucero from our office team! Mercedes started as a temporary employee working in our elections divison and has been an integral part of our team for four fantastic years. Her day is busy with managing emails, fulfilling microfilm requests, and even destroying boxes. What keeps her motivated is the excitement of discovering important case files and knowing that her work is making a incredible difference for citizens.
When things get a bit crazy, Mercedes is always there to provide support to the team or to take a quick breather. The best part of her job is the sense of camaraderie among the team and the fun staff hangouts. Mercedes is currently in a pre-management class and is working on something innovative - a barcoding system for our warehouse boxes! Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her four furry pets and exploring new restaurants in the area, she's an expert foodie.
