Yesterday, along with our partners, we were proud to launch Q Station, New Mexico's first Aerospace and Directed Energy Tech collaboration hub. Located in Nob Hill, Q Station will serve as a landing pad for domestic and international space technology companies to set up shop in ABQ. It's especially true right now as the Trade Alliance is now managing the State of New Mexico's SBA STEP grant program. Sara Gutiérrez is the #EconomicDevelopment Deputy Division Director with the New Mexico Economic Development Department. She received her Associate of Arts degree in #Business Administration and Management from the Santa Fe Community College and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota. Being a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, she returned to New Mexico upon graduation and worked in the #private sector until 2007, when she joined the Economic Development Department. Before becoming the Deputy Division Director, she served as the #ProgramManager of the Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) for 8 years.

Barry Shrier is also known as the #founder of Liberty Electric Cars. In 2007, Barry began working in environmental protection and climate change, founding Liberty Electric Cars. Barry co-invented and patented zero-emissions technology, created to "speed up the roll-out of #electric cars". Rick VanNess is President of the New Mexico Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, a #trade organization with a mission to foster and grow the #biotech industry in New Mexico. Rick also serves as a Scientific Reviewer for the University New Mexico’s Main Institutional Review Board assuring studies involving human subjects are performed appropriately.

Rick VanNess is leading an innovative team at Rhodes to fully operationalize various products and services to augment laboratory #testing by diversify the business and positioning them for value based care. Clinical Analytics, its first commercialized product, uses advanced and patent pending algorithms to risk stratify populations and produce real-time actionable information to help customers improve outcomes and lower the cost of care. Clinical Analytics represents first phase of Rhodes’ value-based care strategy that is further defined within a paper Mr. VanNess was a co-author on in the Journal of Laboratory Applied Medicine published in 2018.

Stuart Rose founded The BioScience Center in Albuquerque in 2012. A serial entrepreneur with more than four decades in the #pharmaceutical #manufacturing industry and the host of more than 20 startups developing #vaccines, #medical devices and research tools, Stuart was looking to create something unique and different in Albuquerque and to capitalize on the burgeoning #biotech industries. In 2014, he opened FatPipe ABQ as a privately funded collaborative workspace providing amazing internet bandwidth speeds, program and training for entrepreneurs, and his advice and guidance to any startup that asks for it. Stuart’s approach to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem is unique. He believes the private sector needs to take the lead and has proven so by investing in our city’s startup culture.

Lisa J. Adkins has worked in #IT most of her career and has experience founding and running her own businesses. It is her mastery of all things IT, and her connections in Albuquerque and around the country that make her an effective advocate for #women in #tech and small business owners in NM.
