Free Legal Consultations w/Attorneys at "Law-la-Palooza 2016"in Albuquerque. Military Veterans, Retirees, Guard/Reserve Personnel Strongly Encouraged to Attend

(ALBUQUERQUE, NM)-The Second Judicial District Court Pro Bono Committee and the New Mexico Legal Aid Volunteer Attorney Program are collaborating to present Law-la-Palooza 2016--a free consultation opportunity with attorneys on Thursday, August 25 in Albuquerque from 3pm-6pm at the Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center, located at 9800 Fourth Street NW.

Military veterans, retirees, active-duty/Guard/Reserve personnel are strongly encouraged to attend.

Dozens of attorneys volunteering their time will be there to offer legal advice concerning non-criminal matters relating to divorce, child custody, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant disputes, creditor/debtor issues, kinship/guardianship issues, wills & probate, personal injury claims, Power-of-Attorney, unemployment, and immigration.

In addition, a Veterans' Service Officer from the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services will be on hand to assist veterans with filing for any VA or state veterans' benefits.

No appointment is necessary. Bilingual attorneys will also be available. The volunteer attorneys will help on a first-come, first-served basis and will limit sessions to 30-minutes. They ask that you bring any paperwork relevant to your case-claims documents, court documents, and any correspondence-to make things easier for them to help.

KRAV MAGA (KM) Israeli Combat Martial Arts Training Course

FREE at NO-COST to all "Current Full-Time Salaried" Albuquerque Metro area based Federal, State, County and Local Law Enforcement, Military/National Guard, Fire Fighters, EMT/Paramedics, Corrections and Probation & Parole personnel! Again, must be current full-time on-duty to qualify!

This is an "accelerated" Adult ONLY KRAV MAGA (KM) Israeli Combat Martial Arts training course that we are offering to our area Public Safety personnel because of the current increased threat all of you face today!

Those that sign up BEFORE November 1st will be able to train for free as long as they wish to. After November 1st, you will be required to pay the monthly fee.

All instructors are 2nd Degree Black Belts in KM and one is a retired LE and all strongly support your service to our country!
All tactics taught are designed to help our Public Safety personnel survive all types of armed attacks in cars, outside to include disarming techniques for guns, axe, knives and blunt instruments. Doing our part to help all of you stay alive and healthy at no-cost to you!

All you need is a willingness to learn more survival tactics, train hard for an hour, and have some workout clothes and great attitude!

Come out the The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science from 10am-4pm and enjoy free access for all military personnel and their dependents with a Valid Military I.D. The memorial services for Army Staff Sgt. Matthew McClintock, of Albuquerque, who was killed in action Jan. 5 in Afghanistan, will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 31 at KIVA Auditorium in Albuquerque.
