Since last year, 's family members (all 14 of them) have received numerous death threats and fear for their lives. They believe that the current administration cannot protect them, which is why they are seeking refuge in the United States to continue their fight for and for all who are being silenced when they speak out against corruption and abuse of power. To commemorate the First Anniversary of Percy’s assassination, and to keep the flame of FREEDOM, JUSTICE and RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS alive in our beloved Pilipinas, NaFFAA GLA and supporters have launched this GoFundMe. US $2 million per day income from the Malampaya gas fields should go to the Philippine Treasury by now, NOT to private corporations. Former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos SR's PD87 said that by 2025, the Filipino People should already benefit fully from our State-owned natural resource in the West Philippine Sea. Why extend the service contract when PNOC can be the one to manage it from now on, without help from cronies?

Please share as far and wide.
Thank you very much!

Filipino Leaders Congratulate Rep. Jeffries as New Democratic Leader, Appeal for Filipino Amerasians

New York (Dec. 1, 2022) — Filipino-American leaders applauded the election of Representative Hakeem Jeffries of Brooklyn as the first African American Democratic leader by his colleagues in the U.S. Congress.

“We are thrilled about this historic event. We are hopeful that Rep. Jeffries will revive next year the issue of thousands of Amerasian children abandoned in the Philippines,” said Loida Nicolas Lewis, a New York philanthropist and the national chair of the U.S. Filipinos for Good Governance advocacy organization.

“We will urge Jeffries to again take an active role to right a wrong and end an inhumane U.S. immigration policy on children left behind by American servicemen in the Philippines. They are now adults and majority face discrimination and poverty,” Lewis added. (See File Photo December 12, 2022 with Rep. Jeffries)

Unfortunately, under the 1982 Amerasian Immigration Act, Filipino children of American service members were excluded from preferential immigration status for children in Asia fathered by U.S. service personnel in Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Kampuchea, and Thailand. Because of the poor economic and social conditions experienced by Amerasians in their homelands, Congress passed the 1982 law.

According to Lewis, their plan is to work with other coalition stakeholders to launch the Filipino-Amerasian bill campaign on Valentines Day and hopefully pass in the House by July 4th, Philippine-US Friendship Day and in the Senate next year. They will be meeting with their congress members and staff to sensitize them about the Filipino Amerasians' condition of poverty.

More than libel, we hope that Cusi and his cohorts will be held responsible for the "sweetheart deal" with Chevron and Udenna, which, according to Justice Carpio, is the largest "gift" to a crony. Ibalik na ang sa Sambayanang Pilipino!

According to the prosecutor's resolution, Cusi — who sued journalists across seven newsrooms — also argued that Gatchalian, being a public officer, "should not be too onion-skinned."

SC ASKED TO ANNUL Chevron-Udenna MALAMPAYA DEAL

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 22) — A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court asking to annul the sale and transfer of shares in the Malampaya gas field off Palawan province.

Former Executive Secretary Ruben Torres filed the petition on Tuesday against the deal between Chevron Philippines, Ltd. and UC Malampaya of Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy for the sale of the former's 45% stake in the deep water-gas-to-power project.

UC Malampaya is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uy's Udenna Corporation.

"He [Torres] alleged in the petition that the transfer of rights in Malampaya project was 'without the requisite legal, technical, and financial evaluation required by law and regulation,'" his camp said in a statement Thursday. It did not elaborate.

Among the respondents mentioned were former Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, and the companies involved.

CNN Philippines sought the respondents' comments, but they have yet to reply.

"The US Filipinos for Good Governance (USFGG) launched TrollExposer.com, where they identified hundreds of Facebook accounts, pages and groups that consistently share fake news about Robredo and tagging her as a communist sympathizer.

The group launched the website in response to former Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s challenge to show him “where the trolls are,” as he denied hiring troll farms to prop up his candidacy and attack Robredo.

Using publicly available data and artificial intelligence, the group was able to trace 136 unique pieces of content (such as posts, pictures, videos) had been shared a cumulative 1,976 times across a network of 737 accounts and 77 pages."

08/18/2022

We at USFGG demand the immediate release of Senator Leila De Lima. She has been cleared by the Ombudsman, and key witnesses have even retracted their false testimony against her.

If you watched yesterday’s episode of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, you should know that in criminal law when there is doubt or uncertainty - judges should resolve in favor of the accused.

In De Lima’s case, there are so many doubtful testimonies of witnesses from the start. Testimonies from convicted drug lords who according to the PH Rules of Evidence should not be believed anyway.

In fact, the testimonies are so doubtful that the witnesses - from Espinosa to Ragos to almost everyone who testified against De Lima - have all recanted, meaning binawi na nila ang kanilang mga testimonya.

There is no more evidence - documentary, testimonial, or object/forensic - that implicates De Lima in the drug trade.

There is no doubt in my mind that she is innocent.

So on the 2000th day of her being in jail, we call once again for the cases to be dropped and for De Lima to be set free.

’s legacy will not fade away: Democracy’s Guardian, Peace Maker and Economic Stabilizer

The officers of the US Filipinos for Good Governance, an advocacy organization based in Virginia, join the Filipino People in mourning the death of former Philippine President Fidel Valdez Ramos (FVR) last July 31, 2022.

“We in USFGG extend our deepest sympathies to the Ramos family and grieve with the Filipino People. We will fondly recall his achievements of effective public service and inspiring leadership in saving Philippine democracy, unifying the nation and reviving the economy,” said Loida Nicolas Lewis, USFGG national chair.

“We concerned Filipino Americans are profoundly grateful to Gen. Fidel V. Ramos who helped the Filipino People restore democracy in 1986, through the People Power Revolution against the Marcos dictatorship. He calmly defended the Cory Aquino Administration against seven coup attempts, stabilized the Philippine military, and achieved peace through the Mindanao Final Agreement between the Philippine Government and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in 1996.

“We in the United States are also indebted for his Administration that passed ‘The Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act’ which set higher standards for our protection and promoted the Filipino’s welfare globally. As a former soldier, President Ramos championed the Equity Bills for elderly Filipino World War II veterans in the U.S. Congress and with American presidents over the past decades. FVR's legacy will never fade away,” Lewis added.

"The Bible says: "where your treasure lies, there your heart lies also."
The U.S. Customs inventory of the baggage brought by Ferdinand Marcos to exile in Hawaii in Februry 1986 shows cash, jewelry, watches, and handguns. Reading the list and New York Times coverage of the period reminded me that, in his haste to flee Malacañang, Marcos left behind one thing that is most precious to any Filipino--his mother."

“The House of Representatives of the United States has agreed on an amendment to a defense spending measure blocking aid, including equipment and training, to the Philippine National Police until the Philippines is deemed to have met basic human rights standards.

The amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for 2023, introduced by Rep. Susan Wild (D-Pennsylvania) and adopted by the US House through a voice vote, provides that no funding will be made available to the State Department for assistance to the PNP until the Secretary of State certifies that the Philippines has:

* Investigated and successfully prosecuted police who violated human rights, ensured that they cooperated with judicial authorities in such cases, and affirmed that such violations have ceased

* Established that the Philippine National Police effectively protects the rights of trade unionists, journalists, human rights defenders, government critics, religious leaders and other civil society activists to operate without interference

* Taken effective steps to guarantee a judicial system that is capable of investigating, prosecuting and bringing to justice members of the police and military who have committed human rights abuses

* Fully complied with domestic and US audits and investigations regarding the improper use of prior security assistance.

“The time is long overdue to begin putting some basic human rights guardrails in place in the United States-Philippines relationship,” Wild said in her remarks on the House floor.

Any shred of doubt or uncertainty in the integrity of the election process erodes the trust of the Filipino people in the process of choosing their leaders in government freely and willingly. As stalwarts and defenders of our democratic ideals, we call on the COMELEC to address all issues and irregularities that have been reported, especially by the International Observer Mission's report that "This was not a free nor fair election."

There is a great and growing number of concerned Filipinos that continue to demand answers regarding the irregularities that happened during the 2022 National Elections. PRESS RELEASE
June 8, 2022

In response to questions and allegations regarding the recent press conference held last June 7, 2022.

On the accusations that "we are in conflict with or undermining Frank Ysaac’s effort”: Our group has been working with Frank Ysaac and other concerned leaders and organizations, on the irregularities that occurred during the 2022 National Elections. We are one in our call that the lack of transparency and accountability from the relevant government authorities mandated to report on election irregularities, diminishes the legitimacy of the election results. While the June 7th press conference gave us perspective from two data experts who showed analytic evidence of alleged electoral fraud, Frank Ysaac, along with Augusto Lagman and Eliseo Rio Jr. will join the next press conference on June 14, 2022, where they will give their own independent analyses on the election irregularities (ex: unbelievably fast transmission of results from the vote-counting machines (VCMs) to the transparency servers).

On the accusations that "we are a purveyor of fake news and used unauthorized content”: The Coalition of Global Filipinos for Good Governance was inadvertently listed as Global Coalition of Filipinos for Good Governance. We apologize to the founder of the pre-existing Facebook group, Dr. Celia Lamkin, for this mistake. Upon further review, similarly named organizations can also be found on Facebook, but they are not related to the organizing group.

On the accusation that "panelists were paid and instructed to show that the election results were not tainted”: Our panelists were invited because of their expertise on data analysis and e-forensics. It is important to note that the panelists volunteered to present their findings based on their own scientific analysis and objective methodologies, without any remuneration, and all in the interest of finding the truth. Their independent findings confirm that indeed, there was possible fraud and the data from the transparency servers are highly questionable, therefore we reiterate that USFGG continues to stand by its call of seeking accountability on the irregularities that show alleged electoral fraud in the recent elections.

USFGG believes in upholding democracy and the rule of law in the Philippines.

Join us tonight 9pm ET / 6pm PT / this morning 9am Manila for our 3rd of 9 Interfaith Prayer Zooms for Pilipinas!

**US Fil-Am Leaders condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Philippine Government urged to support President Biden’s and NATO's Sanctions Against Putin**

In a resolution that quickly followed Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the leaders of the US Filipinos for Good Governance (USF4GG) condemned the Russian invasion in the strongest possible terms. The resolution echoed the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres who declared that the premeditated invasion is a violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and violated the principles of the Charter of the United Nations. Although a former member of the Russian Federation, Ukraine broke away when the USSR collapsed following the Russians’ defeat and expulsion by the Afghan Taliban rebels. For 20 years, Ukraine has been an ally of the US and the European Union.

Of interest to the Philippines and other Southeast Asian Nations, the resolution also declared that China supports Putin's occupation of Ukraine as a quid pro quo and as a pretext for China to stage a military takeover of Taiwan and eventually the West Philippine Sea. If Russia is successful in invading Ukraine, the Fil-Am leaders fear that it will embolden other world despots like China’s Xi Jinping to invade their small democratic neighbors like Taiwan and conceivably extend its hegemonic power over the Philippines and other smaller nations.

USF4GG’s resolution also urges the Philippine government to join the global outcry against the invasion and to declare their support of US President Biden’s and NATO’s economic sanctions and other measures adopted by the UN General Assembly to defend the human rights, democratic government and sovereignty of the Ukrainian People. The resolution is reprinted in full below:

WHEREAS: President Vladimir Putin ordered his Russian military to invade the Republic of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 - “a violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and inconsistent with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations” as stated by UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

WHEREAS: Putin launched widespread military attacks with missiles, tanks, planes and 200,000 ground troops on Ukrainian defense forces and 44 million civilians led by President Vlodymyr Zelensky. Initially, hundreds of Ukrainians have been killed and thousands more injured. More than five million Ukrainians are expected to become refugees.

WHEREAS: The Ukrainian People have overwhelmingly opposed Putin's plans over the past two decades to replace their democratically elected government and install pro-Russian puppet leaders.

WHEREAS: China supports Putin's occupation of Ukraine as a quid pro quo and as a pretext for China to stage a military takeover of Taiwan and eventually the West Philippine Sea.

WHEREAS: Putin supports the authoritarian government of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and has provided military assistance including training for his Presidential Security Group. Links: https://tass.com/world/1017658

RESOLVED: The U.S. Filipinos for Good Governance (USFGG) condemns the Russian invasion and occupation of Ukraine territory and supports the Biden Administration’s and NATO's sanctions against Putin and his cohorts.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that USFGG urge the Philippine Government to immediately announce their support of the Biden Administration's and NATO's economic sanctions and other measures adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to defend the human rights, democratic government and sovereignty of the Ukrainian People.
