Did you grow up in a Spanish speaking home and/or community? Would you like to expand your knowledge of the Spanish language and cultures while meeting other students with similar interests and backgrounds? Do you need to fulfill SPA 201? If so, SPA 205 is the course for you!

We will meet Mondays & Wednesdays 12:45-2:00 p.m. on Zoom beginning September 8th. The course is 3 credits (Class ID 40972) and no textbook is required.

Part of George Mason's I-Week, join us in the JC Cinema as students in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages perform different poems, songs, dances, and plays in the foreign language they are studying.

This year's event will begin with a workshop by GMU's own Dr. Monica Mulholland on using drama for foreign language instruction.

The following languages will be represented: Portuguese, Korean, Irish, German, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, and French.

Intermission will be at 6pm with light refreshments being served.
Are you a current SPA 102 or 201 student? Interested in studying abroad this summer? Come find out about NOVA's program in Sevilla, Spain. Prof. Figueroa will hold an informational session at the AN Campus Thursday, February 13th in CM 368 at 4:30 p.m.

7th Brazilian Film Week presents Jonathas' Florest. Jonathas lives with his family in the Amazon and sells local products. There he meets Milly, a visitor from the Ukraine, and the Amerindian Kedassere. Seduced by Milly and the forest, Jonathas undertakes his most transformative journey when he decides to embark on an adventure.

The film will be presented on Saturday, October 26, at 5:00 pm; Tuesday, October 29, at 7:30 pm; and Thursday, October 31, at 7:30 pm. Admission is FREE. All films in Portuguese with English subtitles.
