This year's pandemic means that more of us are staying at home. But for many residents, home simply is not safe. Your neighbors are doing their best to follow social distancing guidelines and stay at home orders, but what if home means constant roof leaks? Or no working heat? How can home feel like the safest option?

We're kicking off our year-end fundraising campaign, and you can make a huge difference. Make a special year-end gift to support your elderly neighbors who need safe and healthy homes — now more than ever: https://bit.ly/3bM1o2q

» Modern-Day School Segregation: Addressing the Lasting Impacts of Racist Choices on Virginia’s Education System

"Virginia’s long history of passing both overt and covert racist policies has segregated schools and deprived communities of color of educational opportunities and resources... more than a century of white-led racist policies, including student placement [and] housing discrimination... have entrenched racial segregation within Virginia schools."

Housing has long played a role in issues plaguing our communities, and though we can't solve them on Facebook, we can raise awareness of them.

Diverse learning environments are beneficial to all students, and especially students of color. The widespread benefits include higher academic achievement, increased likelihood of going to college, better workforce preparation, and an improved likelihood of students having the school resources that...

Election Anxiety: It's a Thing | Wendt Center

During this stressful time, we want to provide everyone with ways center oneself and find comfort in what we can:

Take a moment to acknowledge yourself with love and kindness. Self-compassion is vital when things feel beyond our control. Self-compassion allows us to extend compassion to others.

Focus on what you can control. Make a list of what you can control and what is most important to you. Taking action to create the world you want to live in comes in daily small, consistent choices.

Seek comfort from your support network. Your family and/or friends can be supportive in many ways. Figure out what your need is and who is most able to meet that need.

As we are round the corner to the end of 2020, many of us are wishing this year would hurry up and end. What a year: a pandemic, continued racial injustice and acts of racism, a historic hurricane and fire season, and a stressful and contentious election. read more»

One of my clients had a last-minute color change so my company Patrick's Painting has 6 full gallons of interior paint. I have volunteered with your organization before and wanted to see if you would like it?
I believe Rebuilding Together did amazing work for our neighbors on Evans Lane. Their basement appears to be flooding and despite knocking on their door, we cannot get a hold of them. Can someone associate with this organization DM me if you have a way I can reach them? Thank you!
