The Alexandria Transit Company's DASH system provides safe, reliable, and courteous bus service within the City of Alexandria, and connects with Metrobus, Metrorail, Virginia Railway Express, and all local bus systems. DASH serves all of the Alexandria Metrorail Stations and the Pentagon Metrorail station during morning and evening peak periods. DASH is a pleasant and affordable way to travel in and around Alexandria. Learning to ride DASH is easy. If you have any questions after reviewing this information, call our customer service center at 703-746-DASH (3274). Representatives are available to answer your questions or take comments about our service from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. DASH's courteous drivers can also assist you with rider information. Rider bulletins are posted on all buses for special announcements and holiday schedules.

All DASH buses will operate on their regular schedule today, January 20, for the Presidential Inauguration of Joe Biden.
DASH AT3 and AT4 will not be serving the Pentagon on Inauguration Day, Wednesday, January 20, due to this closure. Any AT3 or AT4 passengers will be able to catch their bus at Pentagon City on northbound Hayes Street, between 12th and 15th. There will be a temporary bus stop sign to mark the location. #InaugurationDay
Metro has announced that bus and rail service will be temporarily suspended to the Pentagon on Inauguration Day, Wednesday, January 20, as part of security measures by the Pentagon for the 2021 Presidential Inauguration.
The Pentagon Transit Center, served by six Metrobus lines, will also be closed.

Beginning Saturday, December 19 through Sunday, January 3, 2021 two Blue Line stations - Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn St - will be closed to advance safety improvements.

The two-week station closures will allow Metro to work around-the-clock to complete substantial work to upgrade the signal system that is essential to providing safe, reliable service for customers.
