It would be great if someone answered the Virtual+Helpline.
Here is an example of an 18 x 18 classroom - it is an inefficient use of space and yet 12 desks fit in the classroom, not 5 like ACPS is claiming. Your photos are wrong and itemtionally meant to deceive the public while underserved youth languish is less than ideal circumstances. This is an absolute outrage. It’s simple math. ACPS are you smarter than a 5th grader? Each block = 1 foot
Where is the cromebook repair shop for GWMS? Top row of characters on the keyboard do not work!
So... This just happened at PH Campagna Center for the 31 students today who wanted to get the Free Books ACPS said they were offering every student 👍👍 However; Only the PH students were allowed to receive their books if they were actually PH students ☹☹ Yet ALL other ACPS families were only offered 1 other pickup location @ William Ramsey between, 9am - 12 noon 😳😳 That was UNTIL this Momma raised some noise & was told to speak to the person in charge ~ *** Candace Pannell ACPS Library Media Instructional Specialist candace.pannell¡acps.k12.va.us. *** Candace went above & beyond, willing to set up a time to meet up with this CRAZY parent, even after the official program time had ended ~ To help make sure these 31 Campagna Center ACPS Students got their free books like they should have today too 📚❤📚!! She was also more then apologetic & thankful that I didn't take no for an answer to advocate to her for ALL our ACPS students ❤🙌❤ So likewise, I wanted to share with all of you that Ms. Pannell made me proud today for doing the same for our ACPS community, without hesitation, when the issue & concern was brought to her attention 👍👍 Cause what's more important for our children then to be EXCITED about Reading?!?! #AVAforLIFE #titansclassof99 #iLOVEmycity #jobwelldonetoday

What parent would not do what the superintendent is doing, and send his kid to a better private school? Only half of the students who graduate T.C. Williams High School achieve math proficiency. Not excellence, proficiency.
WashPo: #hypocrisy
Dr. Hutchings own words: "The concern I have about that is, if this is something that's occurring for people who have the means in regards to bring in dollars and hire somebody and get their kids together, we can cause inequities," he said. "Even though we are intending to do the right thing, it can cause some inequities if some kids can do things and others can't." Later during the conversation, Hutchings described pod-based learners as "privileged." "If you're able to put your child in a learning pod, your kids are getting ahead," he said. "The other students don't get that same access." Also, Dr. Hutchings own words: "I can confirm that our family made a decision to change my daughter’s school this school year. Decisions like these are very personal family decisions and are not taken lightly. This in no way impacts my absolute lifelong, commitment to public education, to which I remain as personally dedicated as ever." Time to go Hypocrite Hutchings. You don't want to be here. You've stated as much. Stop using the backs of our students as your stepping stone. Resign. Continue to delete the comment and I'll continue to post it.
