At around 1:30 am, APD officers responded to the 1900 block of Bacon Street to a report of someone being shot. Officers arrived on scene and found a male lying in the street, unresponsive. Medical personnel arrived shortly thereafter and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man is, as yet, unidentified.

Over the next few minutes, Officers responded to more reports of subjects being shot. Two males who had sustained gunshots were found at locations near Bacon Street, and two other males entered a local hospital with gunshot wounds, apparently from the same incident.

Detectives identified one suspect as K’ci J.
Rue (19 years old). He is wanted for 4
Counts of Armed Robbery with a Firearm,
4 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder
and one Count of 1st Degree Murder.

Law enforcement is encouraging anyone that may be afraid to come forward to report any crimes involving Walters. He was arrested for the second time on April 16th and is being held on a $900,000 bond.

Glenmora Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two missing juveniles, Kennedy and Bailey Billings.

Kennedy is 14 years of age, a white female, blue eyes, and brown hair. She is 5’5” tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

Bailey is 17 years of age, a white female and has hazel eyes and brown hair. She is 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.

Both girls were last seen at their residence in Glenmora at approximately 10:00 p.m. on May 1, 2019.

Alexandria Police Department is looking for information about a shooting that occurred April 14. A male subject was shot at the Spirit Store at 2847 Lee Street at around 1:00 pm.

The subject is a black male, and was wearing a blue boonie-style hat and all-white clothing. He was armed with a .45 handgun.

David Hardy Jr. suffers with Alzheimer’s and was last seen near I-49 and Broadway Ave in Alexandria. Mr. Hardy was last seen driving a 2006 silver Ford Mustang with a black bumper cover. The vehicle was located in Elizabeth, Louisiana on July 10, 2017 with spoiled groceries inside. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, a baseball cap, and brown crocs. HE WAS ARRESTED LAST NIGHT WITH THE HELP OF YOUR TIPS!!

HELP ID THIS SUSPECT IN THE BRUTAL BEATING OF AN ELDERLY MAN.

On February 14, 2019, Deputies were dispatched to the address of 9508 Highway 182, Opelousas, LA 70570 (Nuba Fast Food) in reference to an aggravated battery complaint.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim/complainant, advised he had gotten out of his truck at approximately 0615-0620hrs, at the Nuba Fast Food to get some cigarettes. Victim advised when he exited his vehicle he seen an unknown white male subject with short brown hair, approximately 5'7", 160lbs. The unknown subject was wearing short red pants and had his car parked at gas pump #2. The unknown subject then started to hit him repeatedly with a tire rod approximately thirty times. The victim advised he had to crawl under his truck to stop from getting hit in the head. After the battery had taken place, the unknown subject got back in his car (possibly older model Toyota or Honda white in color) and head west on Highway 167. The victim could not get the license plate number off of the vehicle. The victim advised he has never seen the man before , but he was approximately 25-30 years of age.

Fighting Crime with Your Help - A Message from Alexandria PD

In order to help combat crime in Alexandria, Alexandria PD is compling a list of homes and businesses with surveillance equipment.

APD is not asking for access to your camera feeds or access to your home.

APD is only asking for your phone #.

Should an incident occur in your neighborhood, it will expedite the investigation by being able to know which locations have cameras.

APD understands that privacy is concern for many of you. Information in the contact group is confidential, and access is limited to officers working in the Detective Division at the Alexandria Police Department.

Having citizens who are willing to share information with each other, and with their police department, has proven to be a successful tool in the law enforcement toolbox.
