ACTFL is grateful to the participants, presenters and facilitators who shared their time and talent to learn together this summer as part of the Summer Learning Series. With participants joining from all around the world and across our country, many of whom continued through all four weeks of the series, the conversations and collaboration were very meaningful. Leaders in our field shared their expertise guiding educators through several of the Core Practices in an engaging format where participants would Learn about a topic as a full group, then Explore in more depth with small breakout groups and facilitators based on grade levels and finally Apply new learning by completing a task and receiving feedback.

Special thanks to all of the Presenters who shared resources, research and ideas : Leslie Grahn and Rebecca Blouwolf, Paul Sandrock and Rebecca Aubrey, Donna Clementi and Sun Burford, and finally Greta Lundgaard and Mike Travers. We greatly appreciate the Facilitators who made the work together collaborative within the breakout groups: Dorie Conlon Perugini, Kelly Guzik, Tonja Byrom, Lea Graner Kennedy, María Cristina Rodríguez-Villa, Lyanne Terada, Kristin Davin, Kevin Gaugler, Katrina Griffin, Katy Arnett, and Victoria Gilbert. 🤗

Bonjour tlm. I hope that everyone is doing well and in good health. I thought this would be a good place to share that Pflugerville HS is opening up a position for a Spanish/French teacher on our campus and we are looking for a passionate new member to join our Panther team. If you or anyone you know would be interested in applying for this position, please be on the look out for this opening in the link below. Restez bien, et merci
Dear language teacher educators, As part of the Erasmus+ project proPIC, which is currently led by the University of Education Karlsruhe, I am investigating the use of digital teaching formats in the context of the currently changing teaching situation due to the effects of the corona pandemic on English language teacher education. My aim is to find out how teacher educators and universities deal with digitalization during this pandemic. To collect data, I developed a short questionnaire which takes about 13 minutes to complete. I would be very happy if you would be willing to take part in it and share it with other colleagues. Your feedback is very important! You can find my survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/proPIC Sincerely, Birnur Avsar

Anticipating more demand for online learning resources, Conversifi launched a Kickstarter campaign yesterday. As potential beneficiaries of those scholarships and promoters of language learning technologies, I'm hoping you all can help us get the word out. Click below to participate in the campaign! And please share this post on social media so we can expand our reach.

Hello. Is it true that Language Testing International is part of or affiliated with ACTFL? Are they an independent company? Either way, are they the only way to take the OPIc exam?
Hello! I just tried calling using the number on Facebook and it says they number has changed. Just an FYI. my question is about the Summer Learning Series. I would like to participate in all of these, but I may not be available every day that it’s on. So, will these be archived and available for access? I sent an email via the Contacts link on the website a few days ago as well. Thank you!
