Mark your calendars: On Wednesday, December 7th at 6PM, Supervisor Walter Alcorn, Franconia Police District Commander, Captain Lieb, and I will be hosting a Franconia Police District Traffic Town Hall.

Topics that will be discussed include, traffic safety, enforcement, pedestrian and bicycle safety, junk vehicles, speed limits, and traffic calming. A map of the Franconia Police District is provided in the comment section for your reference.

FFX is consolidating its systems!

Fairfax County is converting all of its legacy land use permitting, plan review, inspections, and complaint systems (FIDO, ProjectDox, and PAWS) to the Planning and Land Use System ( PLUS ). During the conversion, beginning Friday, Oct. 21, PLUS and ProjectDox will be unavailable, while FIDO and PAWS will only be available in view mode.

Legacy systems (FIDO, ProjectDox, and PAWS) will not return to use after the outage and will be replaced by PLUS beginning Monday, Oct. 31, 2022. The outage will impact customers conducting business with the agencies below:
🔵Land Development Services
🔵Department of Planning and Development
🔵Fire and Rescue Department, Office of the Fire Marshal
🔵Health Department, Environmental Health
🔵Department of Code Compliance

PLUS will be the central platform to create and submit applications online, pay fees, track application status and receive electronic notifications. Customers will complete their zoning, building, permitting, or other land development, submit complaints and environmental health processes online through the PLUS portal.
