Mark your calendars! March 8, 2025 is International Women’s Day. We celebrate the achievements and resilience of women by sharing some exciting political wins right here in Virginia that are making a real difference in the lives of women.

Virginia’s List is pleased to invite you to Brunch with the Delegates. Join members of the Virginia General Assembly from the comfort of your home to discuss the historic passage of the constitutional amendment supporting abortion rights in the General Assembly and how the ongoing chaos caused by Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their MAGA allies at the federal level is impacting Virginia families directly.

Virginia’s List is proud to announce its endorsement of Abigail Spanberger for Governor, backing the former Congresswoman and CIA case officer as the pro-choice Democratic leader Virginia needs in this pivotal election year.

“With Donald Trump and his MAGA allies threatening reproductive rights, economic stability, and democracy itself, we need a proven leader who will fight for Virginians and protect our values,” said Lateisha Garrett, Chair of Virginia’s List. “Abigail Spanberger has spent her career defending our democracy, standing up for working families, and championing reproductive freedom. As Governor, she will ensure Virginia remains a beacon of progress, even as Republicans in Washington and across the Commonwealth try to drag us backward.”

Spanberger, who represented Virginia’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, has built a reputation for bipartisan problem-solving, standing up to special interests, and delivering results for Virginians. As Governor, she has pledged to defend reproductive rights, expand economic opportunities, invest in education, and strengthen Virginia’s democracy.

“Barely a month into Trump’s second term and Virginians are already feeling the consequences of his reckless brand of wayward leadership while Virginia Republicans have bowed to his every whim, ” Garrett added. “Abigail Spanberger is the leader Virginia needs—and Virginia’s List is committed to ensuring she has the resources she needs to win.”

Virginia’s List is dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women across the Commonwealth. Today’s endorsement of Spanberger is the first in a series of announcements supporting pro-choice Democratic women up and down the ballot who are ready to fight for Virginia’s future.
