Governor Evers has declared this week is Direct Support Professional Recognition Week (9/12-9/18). East Shore is grateful to the DSP's it employs and couldn't provide the services or offer the programs it does without their commitment. We look forward to recognizing and thanking our DSP's this week for all of their hard work and dedication to our mission.

It's hard to believe we are halfway through the month of July! So far we have enjoyed a visit from Riley the pup, disc golf, the Kewaunee County Fair, worked out at Algoma Community Wellness Center and we also found time to work on some subcontract work. Time really does fly when you are having fun (even when working 😉).
Also, congratulations to everyone that submitted a project at the fair this year - there were several firsts, a merit award and a best in show. Great job everyone!! 👏👏

What has your June been like? We have been busy volunteering with Friends of Crescent Beach helping them clean and maintain the beach, we have cleaned the church at St Paul's in Algoma, and we painted lines on the fields for the KCYSA (Kew Cty Youth Soccer Assoc) games. Volunteering is more than just a fun activity for us. It is a way for each of us to become more independent and comfortable in the community we live in. We take pride in knowing our hard work and determination has made a meaningful contribution to our community. The next time you see us out and about feel free to stop and say 'Hi' - we would love to talk with you.
