Was honored to introduce State Representative Jeremy Shaffer at a reception in his district. Rep. Shaffer’s strong values and professional, common sense approach reflects his district perfectly in Harrisburg.

There’s a scene at the end of the movie Saving Private Ryan. Captain Miller, mortally wounded, has just sacrificed nearly his entire squad, to find and save one soldier, Private James Ryan. And in his last breath, he tells Ryan to “Earn This!” Ryan spends the rest of his life living up to that sacrifice.

We are all Private Ryan. We all need to earn, through our actions every day, what they all did for us.

This Memorial Day, we honor the fallen not just with silence, but by living lives worthy of the incredible sacrifice they made for us.

With the U.S. facing a skills gap, that’s unprecedented in my lifetime, I was thrilled to be invited to be the Keynote Speaker at the Beaver County Career and Technical Center’s 2026 graduation. These young men and women, 339 of them, have taken substantial steps toward pursuing professional degrees, or in some cases have made themselves “job ready” today. The opportunities for them are vast. Much of what they’ve learned was through hands on work, not textbooks. And they’ll start their careers sooner, and certainly with less debt, than many of their peers. I’m proud to see BCCTC leading the way, and providing a pathway for the young people who will fill the skills gap, and keep our region moving forward.

“If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.” - Meister Eckhart

With so much to be grateful for, and so many to thank, I fear the inadvertent omission. So I’ll start broadly, and apologize in advance for any perceived slight.

Thank you to all who did their civic duty yesterday (and in advance), including those who may not have voted for me. Broad participation, by an educated electorate is what keeps our nation the greatest to ever exist. I ask one favor of you, come November, bring a low propensity voter with you.

Thank you to Republican Leadership, starting with Chris at RCBC, and Jason and John at RCAC. What you guys are building, in a District like PA17 is a service to all citizens, including Democrats. A strong Republican Party gives voters a choice, and protects us all from a “tyranny of the majority. I’ve met so many strong energetic local chairs and committee men and women. From petition circulators to sign planters to poll greeters, you guys are the lifeblood of politics, and the process would crumble without you.

Thank you to my small, but growing team. Kathy, your energy, organizational skills, and diligence launched this campaign in a way no one else could…right person/right time! Gina, you have gone above and beyond from the moment that you came on board. Your title is so much less than your role. Thank you for recognizing that I need things taken off my plate long before I realize it. Avery, you’re already solving problems and adding value. Keith/Jeremy/Rob/Craig/Herb/Jerry/et al your guidance and availability are invaluable. All, roll up your sleeves, we’re about to get busier.

Friends and family, so many to thank, but I have to single out Dave and Lisa for hosting our first fundraiser, which turned out to be so fruitful. Mejo/Zack/kids, thanks for your patience through this process. I miss my near unlimited time with the kids, but I hope you realize that you and they are who I’m doing this for. Syl, you’ve always been my biggest supporter. So when you said, “whatever you decide, I’ll support you 100%” I knew I was good to go and you’d hold down the fort, like you always have. I love you.

Really no time to celebrate. PA17 is winnable, but only by putting in the real work necessary to beat an entrenched, ambitious politician, who’s more concerned with climbing the political ladder than with serving his constituents. This district deserves a Representative who understands our communities, shares our values, and will stand up to the DC Special Interests and do what is right for Pennsylvania and our country.

Tony Guy defeated Jesse James Vodvarka in the Republican primary for Pennsylvania's 17th Congressional District, CBS News projects.

Tomorrow is election day!

PA-17 Voters, I need your support at the polls tomorrow.

I'm an America First warrior, and I won't cave to DC Special Interests. I've proven I have the backbone to get the job done and deliver conservative results for our Pennsylvania communities.

Vote Tony Guy for Congress.

As a cancer survivor I was blessed to be asked to participate in the 3rd Annual Bags & Blessings Fashion Show. Bags was founded by one of my deputies, Robin Redfern, to give support and blessings to cancer patients. Robin does everything big, and with over 400 attendees, and 20+ models, it was an incredible event. Got to see many friends, and make new ones, who are in various stages of their respective journeys. Thanks Robin, keep doing what you do.

This morning, I attended the Annual Beaver County Law Enforcement Memorial at Beaver County Courthouse to honor the memory of officers who lost their lives. As National Police Week comes to a close, I want to thank the brave men and women who put their lives on the line each day to keep our communities safe. I will always continue to proudly stand by our law enforcement community.

Last week, I got to spend a little time with Republican Gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity for Pennsylvania and Collier Township Republican Committee's Chairwoman Mary Iorio. Stacy is such a great candidate, and has a REAL plan for making Pennsylvania a great place to live.
