Chester the Chipmunk is captured by a homeowner in Bergen County and gets transferred and released at The Celery Farm where he has to learn which animals are friendly and which are dangerous.
He befriends Benny the Bunny and soon they are on a wild escapade to find Chester's long lost sister.

The Celery Farm is a 107-acre freshwater wetland in Allendale, New Jersey, and is open to the public during daylight hours every day of the year.
Over 240 species of birds have been recorded here, and more than 50 are known to breed here. The wetlands and deciduous woods provide habitat for many mammals, fish, reptiles and insects.
The main access to the Celery Farm is from a small parking lot on the east side of Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, New Jersey. From Route 17 north or southbound, take the Allendale Ave. exit, heading west towards Allendale. After 0.8 miles, turn right on Cottage Place. At the end of Cottage Place, turn right at the stop sign onto Franklin Turnpike. The parking lot is about one hundred yards on the right.
