The Chainsaw Maggie talk on Sunday at Tree Huggers was a great success—in spite of rain! Seventy people attended, we raised $155 for the Allenspark Food Pantry, and we pulled in an inch or so of much needed precipitation. Huzzah!

Our annual bazaar is in 10 days! We’re thrilled to bring you another fun event at the home of The Hilltop Guild, The Kelley House, located at 18720 State Highway 7. Join us on Saturday, August 1 for the fun (9am - 2pm)!

Chainsaw Maggie rides again! Allenspark’s most notorious “criminal” is the subject of a talk on Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. Come to Tree Huggers Trading Co. in downtown Allenspark to learn about unrest and protests against corporate development in 1979—and the arrest of a 56-year-old women who made her opinions known in a dramatic way!

Allenspark's Fourth of July Bicentennial celebration, 1976! Raffle winner John Hall examining his prize, the Bicentennial quilt made by local women. The quilt raffle, flea market, and kissing booth brought in $3,000 for the community building fund. Unfortunately, that money was absconded with shortly after by one of the board members. Oh, Allenspark!
