In a significant victory for local communities and preservation efforts, Assembly Bill A5241 (preventing warehouses from being built 1,000 feet from historic districts) successfully passed a vote in the Assembly Committee on May 15th. The bill has now been referred to the Assembly State and Local Government Committee, marking a crucial step forward in its journey to becoming law.

SIGN THE PETITION: Say NO to 500,000 sq ft of Warehouses in Upper Freehold Township

Overdevelopment is once again threatening our rural environment and quality of life. This time, the literal foundations of our towns are at stake.

Active Acquisitions Upper Freehold LLC has applied to build two large warehouses on Block 26, Lots 1, 2, & 3 in Upper Freehold Township (UFT). The builder would pave over 23 acres of UFT farmland on scenic Old York Road! This farmland has been in use for over 200 years!

The plan will require a separate wastewater mitigation system or sewer, leading to MORE WAREHOUSE DEVELOPMENT, affordable housing developments, and HIGHER TAXES from increased school district enrollments. This is how chasing ratables actually ends up INCREASING taxes!

SAY NO TO:

Construction of a new sewer system

Increased costs for police, fire & first aid services resulting in HIGHER TAXES

Associated HIGH DENSITY DEVELOP

POORER AIR quality and LIGHT POLLUTION

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS, ENDANGERED SPECIES

Tell the Upper Freehold Township Committee at [email protected] to say NO to: ANY new VARIANCES tied to this proposal MORE TRUCK TRAFFIC from over 100 truck loading docks

Does the State of NJ have unclaimed property that belongs to you? After checking my own name, I realized that I had unclaimed property and it was very easy to retrieve. I then did a search for other family members and to my surprise found multiple unclaimed listings for my parents. I then decided to do a search here in town using several last names and once again, many unclaimed listings appeared.

Please use the link below and take the time to read a couple of tips and tricks to broaden your search.

GOOD LUCK 🤞

https://unclaimedfunds.nj.gov/app/claim-search

It is extremely easy to check, probably less than a minute and in about 10 minutes you will get an email telling you what's owed. Sometimes, they will tell you a check is mailed within 2 to 3 weeks and other unclaimed property may need further identification to verify.

When money owed is not claimed, after a certain period of time the state takes this money and holds on to it and interest is also earned.

I recommend that after someone attempts to search with their name and address, they then do a generic search, not including a town or zip code. This will return a lot more unclaimed listings that you have to scroll through but it's worth it because you may have lived somewhere else and have unclaimed property under that address. Or you may see other relatives that are also owed money.

After realizing how much outstanding money is owed to our residents, I felt the need to put this out.

Sincerely,

Mayor Fritts

Good morning Allentown,

Yes, today is election day and my team is on the ballot. It has truly been an honor to be your Mayor and serve the community.

I want you to know that I am more dedicated than the day I started and my team is just as dedicated. Councilwoman Dekranes and Council President Elder are also on the ballot and we are running uncontested. We treated this election the same as any other and held events to inform all residents of the critical issues in front of us and the accomplishments we have seen over the past several years.

We are working hard for Allentown and promise to do everything we can to make a difference and protect everything important.

Sincerely,
Thomas
