Evan Carlson is running for a seat on the APS Board of Education. As a Juvenile Probation Officer, Evan will bring a fresh perspective and a genuine understanding of the challenges our youth and their families face.
Because of his work, Evan understands the importance of accountability, opportunity, and strong support systems.
As an Alpena High School graduate and former APS substitute teacher, Evan also understands our schools from personal experience.
Both of Evan’s parents are Educators. Public education is in his bones.

The Alpena Co Library Board meeting is Wed, July 15 at 4:00 in the Judith Stillion conference room.
The agenda and board packet can be accessed by clicking the link below. It is also found at the bottom of the Alpena Public Library website. The board will be voting on the Reconsideration Policy. The Reconsideration Policy is noted in the screenshots.
You will also find the minutes from the last board meeting as well as all the other information they will be discussing by clicking on the link.
There is a PUBLIC COMMENT on the agenda before they vote on the policy so it is your opportunity to voice your opinion.
