The Alton Township Democrats offer our sincere condolences to the Holliday family and pray for them as they grieve their loss.

Michael H. Holliday Jr., aged 57, departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at his residence. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cathy M. Williams and Sons Funeral Home, located at 1695 Oakwood Avenue, Alton, Illinois 62002. An additional visitation will take place on Friday, May 17th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Main Street Methodist Church, 1400 Main Street, Alton, Illinois 62002. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois. A memorial guest book can be accessed online at www.cathymwilliamsandsons.com.

Great photos/post from a fantastic night! Madison County Dems PACKED the court house last night for Deputy Registrar training and for our County Convention, and we’re excited that after appointments, we’ve nearly tripled the number of precinct committee people!

Congratulations to our County Chair, Andy Asadorian, and to all of those elected and appointed to serve last night. We’re ready to turn Madison County blue this November and have a phenomenal group ready to put in the work!
