(IDA) is a nonprofit housing organization that manages over 20 developments in Blair, Cambria, Centre and Clearfield counties. (IDA) was organized in 1968 in response to the needs in the City of Altoona and the surrounding area for safe, decent and affordable housing. Members of 8 local judicatories pulled together $42,000 from their respective church communities to begin IDA’s mission:
