Serving the community of Altus has never been about a title for me, it has ALWAYS been about the people & wanting to make a difference. Since my childhood, I have always had a deep respect for law enforcement, justice, and our community.

My decision to seek the position of Chief of Police comes from a genuine place... a deep love for my community and a sincere desire to help make Altus safer, stronger & better for every family who calls it home. Altus is where my children and grandchildren live, grow, and build memories. Like many of you, I want a city where families can feel safe, neighborhoods can thrive, and where people know they are heard!

If given the opportunity to serve as your next Chief of Police, my commitment is simple... to lead with integrity, professionalism, and transparency!

I believe trust is built through honesty and accessibility. That means maintaining an open door policy, being approachable, available, and present for our community. I want citizens to know their concerns matter and that their police department is accountable to the people it serves.

Transparency will remain one of my highest priorities! I believe the public deserves open communication, clear information, and leadership that is visible and engaged. Our community should know what their police department is doing, the challenges we face, and the progress we are making together. I intend to be informative using a monthly "Chief’s Report", and also "Critical Incident Reports".

I also believe in moving forward with the times. Public safety continues to evolve, and our department must evolve with it through modern technology, stronger communication, and increased training for every member of our department. Well trained officers that are equipped with the right tools and resources, are essential to providing professional, effective, and compassionate service.

Most importantly, I will NEVER stop fighting for this community. Altus is my home. I care deeply about its future, and I want to see it flourish... for our children, our grandchildren, and generations to come.

My campaign is rooted in service, heart, and a sincere desire to do what is right for our community. I am committed to listening, leading with integrity, and working every single day to help build a safer, stronger Altus for all.

I would like to extend a special thank you to "Dipped’ By Emily" for the thoughtful surprise donation of custom chocolate dipped Oreo cookies! The detail and creativity were incredible, and even the top emblems and pictures were completely edible!! "Dipped' By Emily" is a local, Altus business!

This week is National Police Week. A week where we honor the brave men & women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities, while also recognizing the dedication and commitment of those who continue to serve each day.

Law enforcement is more than a profession, it is a calling built on service, sacrifice, integrity, and courage. I am proud to stand beside the men and women who work tirelessly to protect and serve our community of Altus.

As your next Chief of Police, I will always be committed to supporting our officers/department, strengthening community relationships, and will lead with transparency, accountability, and integrity.

Happy Mother’s Day to one of the most incredible women I know... my Momma, Brenda Caudell 🩷💐

My mother has been one of my biggest supporters.. not only in this campaign, but throughout my entire life. For 37 years, she dedicated her life to serving others as an RN here in Jackson County. She always shows compassion, strength, and selflessness to every person she comes into contact with, and all those she cared for. Watching her serve this community with such heart helped shape who I am today.. and for that, I am eternally grateful!

My Momma taught me the value of hard work, giving 110% in everything I do, and always treating people with honesty, respect, and compassion. She instilled the morals and values that guide me every single day, both personally and professionally.

Through every challenge, every goal, and every dream I’ve ever had, she has always been the person I could count on. She has encouraged me, believed in me, and stood beside me no matter what. Her love and support mean more to me than words can truly express. I am so grateful to still have my Momma with me.

She is not only beautiful on the outside, but one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known. I can only hope to make her proud in everything I do.

TRANSPARENCY ~ ACCOUNTABILITY & ACCESSIBILITY

These are not just words to me, they are the very foundation of how I will lead as your Chief of Police.

If elected, one of my top priorities will be creating a culture of transparency between the police department and the community we serve. The public deserves to know what is happening in their department, not just during times of crisis, but every single day.
That’s why I will implement a monthly "Chief’s Report". This report will clearly outline key information such as: our number of calls for service, types of incidents we respond to, arrests made, community engagement efforts, and ongoing initiatives within the department. There will be no confusion, no guessing, just honest & straightforward communication. Transparency builds trust, and trust is what strengthens our community.

I also believe leadership should be approachable and accessible. I will maintain an open-door policy, ensuring that both officers and citizens feel comfortable coming to me with concerns, questions, or ideas. Throughout my career, I’ve built strong relationships within our department, with neighboring agencies, and with members of our community. I’ve always made myself available, whether it was during the day or in the middle of the night... because serving others doesn’t follow a schedule. As Chief, that commitment will not change!

Transparency also means accountability... not just for the department, but for leadership. I will ensure policies, decisions, and actions are communicated clearly and responsibly. I will actively seek community input, provide regular updates, and never shy away from difficult conversations.

Our community deserves leadership that is visible, honest, and engaged.
I am committed to being that leader!!!
