🚨ALTUS, LETS TALK🚨
As I prepare to officially ramp up my campaign for Altus Chief of Police, I want to make one thing very clear... I BELIEVE IN TRANSPARENCY!

The citizens of Altus deserve a Chief of Police who is willing to communicate openly, listen to the community, answer the tough questions, and be accountable for the decisions being made.That’s why, beginning shortly before the filing period, I will be starting a WEEKLY VIDEO SERIES right here on my campaign page.

Every week, a new topic • Every week, answering your questions • Every week, an opportunity for conversation.

I will be sharing my thoughts, ideas, priorities, and vision for the future of the Altus Police Department. But I don't want this to be a one-way conversation. I also want to hear from YOU! Throughout each week, I will invite you to submit questions & I will take those questions and answer them during my weekly video.

I believe a strong police department and a strong community are built on trust, communication, accountability, and transparency. You cannot build that trust by closing the door or avoiding difficult conversations. You build it by opening the door and having the conversation.

As a lifelong member of this community, I care deeply about the future of Altus and the future of our police department. I’m ready to share my vision, answer your questions, listen to your concerns, and have honest conversations about where we go from here.

This campaign is about more than asking for your vote. It’s about earning your trust.

✅ Candidate filing: Will be held on December 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2026.

🗳️ ELECTION Day: Will be held on February 9th, 2027!

During the February 9th election, you will be voting for the following City of Altus elected positions; Chief of Police, Mayor, Street Commissioner, and City Council wards 1, 2, 3 & 4.

As I prepare to file for the Altus Chief of Police position, I am so very grateful for the enormous amount of encouragement, conversations, and support you’ve shared with me.

As December’s filing period approaches, I’m looking ahead with hope, gratitude, and a deep commitment to the community I call home.

It has been a little while since I’ve posted here, but I have been very busy attending local civic events, following the current state political races, and talking with citizens about the things that matter to them. I’ve also been preparing for the coming months and a super busy campaign schedule.

Altus is where I have built my life, raised our family, and formed friendships that mean so much to us. My desire to continue serving this community is strong, and I’m excited about the next step in my campaign for Chief of Police.

The conversations I’ve had with so many of you have been very encouraging. Your concerns, ideas, and hopes for Altus matter to me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to hear them.

Thank you for your continued encouragement and support. I’m looking forward to meeting and talking with everyone in the weeks and months ahead. There is so much to appreciate about our hometown, and so much to look forward to together.

LET’S TALK ABOUT LEADERSHIP...

If I have the honor of becoming your next Chief of Police, I will not sit behind a desk and give orders. I will lead from the front.

The first thing I plan to do, is put on the uniform, work alongside our patrol officers, and spend time on every shift. I want to know the challenges our officers are facing, hear their ideas, and understand more clearly what they need to do their jobs effectively.

But leadership isn’t only about supporting the men and women wearing the badge...
It’s also about YOU.

I believe the people of Altus deserve a Police Department that is:
1.) Transparent ~ You should know how your department is performing.
2.) Accessible ~ My door will be open to our citizens and our officers when needed.
3.) Accountable ~ We will measure ourselves by results, not excuses.
4.) Proactive ~ We need to address problems before they become bigger problems. Become more proactive versus reactive.
5.) Community-focused ~ A strong relationship between police and citizens makes our community safer.
6.) Forward-thinking ~ Training, technology and modern policing are constantly changing, and we need to change with them.

One of the things I want to establish is a monthly Chief’s Report, giving our community a transparent look at the work being done by our Police Department. This means calls for service, arrests, community involvement and other measurable accomplishments... You deserve to know what your Police Department is doing for you.

I’m not running for Chief of Police because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I’m willing to listen, work, lead and be accountable. This is something I am willing to take head on to better serve our amazing community!

After 21 years in law enforcement and a lifetime of calling Altus home, our community means the world to me.
This isn't about one person... It’s about building a stronger Police Department and an even stronger Altus.. a safer tomorrow!

Thank you Kelly Teinert for the video! My family has enjoyed the Great Plains Stampede Rodeo every year since I was a little girl. I am proud to be a sponsor of this fun event this year & I am grateful for all of the support I have received! Tonight is the last night to attend ("Tough enough to Wear Pink" night). Come out and have some family fun & support the rodeo!

This week I had the opportunity to attend the 38th Annual Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas, Texas. This is my fourth time attending this amazing conference, and I always learn new things.

One of my highest priorities is making our community a safer place for our children. Conferences like this provide invaluable training on the latest investigative techniques, technology, and best practices to help law enforcement better protect children and hold offenders accountable.

I believe our officers should have access to the best training available because the safety of our families depends on it. As Chief, I will continue to support advanced training to ensure the Altus Police Department is properly equipped to meet today's challenges and protect our community's most vulnerable.

Thank you to the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center for hosting another outstanding conference and to all of the professionals dedicated to protecting children.

🇺🇲Happy Independence Day🇺🇸

Today, we all celebrate the freedoms we enjoy & honor those who have sacrificed to protect them. I am so proud to call Altus my home and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve it.

As you celebrate with family and friends, please stay safe, make responsible decisions, and look out for one another.

Leadership is not about sitting behind a desk... it's about being present, leading by example, and understanding the challenges your team faces every day.

If I am elected as your next Chief of Police, one of my first priorities will be to put on my uniform and work alongside our patrol officers. I plan to work all shifts until I have ridden with every officer and spoken with them. In doing so, I believe I will be able to identify challenges they are currently facing, and learn where improvements can be made. I am a firm believer that the very best leaders do not manage from a distance, yet they lead from the front lines! By working alongside our officers, I will be better equipped to identify operational issues, improve communication, and develop solutions that strengthen our department and enhance public safety.

Just as important, I will be an approachable and accessible Chief... not just for our Officers, but for every citizen in our community. I believe by having an open door policy, honest communication, and mutual respect are key to building trust not only within our department, but also with the public we serve.

Leadership begins with listening, understanding, and taking action! That is the kind of leadership I will bring to the Altus Police Department.

Today is an important opportunity to make your voice heard through early voting, taking place on the east side of the Altus Community Center. Early voting is today & tomorrow from 8am-6pm, and Saturday from 8am-2pm.

If you are unable to vote early, Election Day will be held on Tuesday, June 16, at your designated polling location.

Voting is one of the most important responsibilities & privileges we have as citizens. Elections play a vital role in our democracy, giving every voter the opportunity to help shape the future of our community and state.

This election is especially significant, with several important positions to be filled and a state question regarding the minimum wage appearing on the ballot. Regardless of your views, your participation matters.

Take the time to exercise your right to vote, make your voice heard, and be a part of the democratic process. Every vote counts. 🇺🇲🗳
