We will be hearing from 2 Amazing Speakers!
Amarillo High graduate Hayden Brillhart is a four-time national qualifier, national semifinalist, and UIL 5A State Champion in Student Congressional Debate. He also earned Outstanding Presiding Officer honors at the UIL State meet for two consecutive years, and legislation he authored was selected for the national semifinals last year.
Over his four years in speech and debate, Hayden developed a strong understanding of how government operates, along with skills in advocacy, policymaking, and legislative leadership.
Hayden will be speaking about his experience researching, creating, and debating legislation.
Learn how this top debater moved beyond the classroom to draft bills, craft sponsorship speeches, and refute opponents on the way to a state championship at the Texas State Capitol.
On top of all that we will ALSO be hearing from AISD Speech and debate coach Mellessa Denny! She will be sharing with us her role and passion in turning young students into knowledgeable and active political citizens.
AND....Just for fun we will be including a third SURPRISE HISTORICAL guest! We don't want to spoil it but we will give you a HINT: Her husband may or may not have had wooden teeth!

Join us this coming Thursday, April 16th for an important Amarillo Republicans meeting with Guest Speaker Luke Jones. Luke is the Amarillo Intelligence Liason and will be speaking to us about
Geopolitical Crisis and what it means for the Panhandle of Texas. He will be going "beyond the headlines" that we are reading in our everyday news feeds.

We are very saddened to hear that Jane Roberts has passed away. She was such a beloved long time member of Amarillo Republicans (Amarillo Republican Women).

Jane had the kindest heart, and everyone, who knew her, is really going to miss her.

*If you’re planning to go to her funeral on Monday, a section has been reserved for our members on the left side of the main aisle — the ushers can help you find it.*

It brings us comfort knowing she’s now home with her Heavenly Father. Please keep her family and loved ones in your prayers during this tough time. 🤍

The Amarillo Republicans (Amarillo Republican Women) are saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, Lorene Lacer.

Lorene was a faithful and familiar presence at our gatherings for many years. Her kindness, generosity, and gracious support meant so much to our organization and to the many members who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she has made her way home to her Heavenly Father. We are praying for peace, strength, and comfort for her family and friends during this difficult time.

Lorene will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of us
