Round Up Stories - Coming Full Circle

Some stories remind us that the right support at the right time can change everything.

When Khashari "Khash" first arrived at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, he carried years of instability, family conflict, and uncertainty about his future. What he found was something he had never truly experienced before: a fresh start.
At Boys Ranch, Khash embraced every opportunity available to him. He found purpose through athletics, encouragement through mentors, and healing through faith. The people who invested in him helped shape not only the young man he became, but the leader he is today.
After graduating, earning a college degree, and serving in the National Guard, Khash felt called back to the place that changed his life. Today, he serves as a coach and mentor, helping Boys Ranch youth navigate struggles he understands firsthand.
Perhaps the most powerful part of his story is this: the boy who once needed someone to believe in him now gets to be that person for someone else.
"Boys Ranch was probably the best thing to ever happen. It gave me structure, purpose and people who believed in me before I believed in myself."

Stories like Khash's are a testament to what happens when hope, guidance and opportunity come together.

🚣‍♀️🍌🍨 Cardboard, creativity, and a whole lot of fun! Our boatbuilders took to the water for this year's Cardboard Boat Race, and our final creation was the sweetest of them all... a giant Banana Split! 🍌
A huge thank you to Blue Bell Ice Cream for sponsoring ice cream for all the kids and making the day even sweeter. And a special shoutout to Ruckus and the Amarillo Sod Poodles Baseball for stopping by and helping judge the boats. ⚾🐾
