A great project!

Isadore, Fiona, Miriam and yours truly had the pleasure of visiting with the after school dinner
dinner preparation program at the Boys and Girls Club in Tonawanda. What a wonderful evening we had: the students
were using the special kitchen tools that were purchased with our $500 grant. Over 20 were involved with chopping,
sorting, mixing and having a great time making fruit salad, mixed fresh roasted vegetables, and spaghetti and meatballs. It smelled so good I regret

I had to leave before dinner was served. I have never seen so much benefit coming a small grant. Take a look at the great picture I attached
The staff was welcoming, enthusiastichelpful, and dedicated to their mission.

A terrific project at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, glad we could support!

A heartfelt thank you to the Rotary Club of Amherst for the generous donation of funds allowing for the planting of two vineyards within the historic village. These vineyards will be located behind the Lavocat House and on the front lawn of Hoover House. Concord and Reliance grapes were chosen for planting. We can't wait to see these beauties flourish.

Looking for a way to get involved? Join our friends at the Roundabout Rotary Buffalo Niagara Club today for a Habitat for Humanity Buffalo project.

Good Morning Facebook Family,
Today the Roundabout Rotary Buffalo Niagara & I have an event planned to help out on a Buffalo site for Habitat for Humanity Buffalo. I will be there on site today @ volunteering at 84 Maryland St. Buffalo 14201. There is no minimum time requirement for helping so anytime is a good time. The site is open from 8:45 am – 3 PM. I will be there at about 8:45 am until noon. If you have any time you would like to stop down today and help, I would and I know the Habitat team would love to see you. Just give me a call prior and I will just confirm that the site is good from a numbers perspective but I don’t see that being an issue.
If you were free and thinking about how to help others, this would be a fine use of your efforts. Shoot me a call or TXT and I will send more details :-)
Thank you all for your support, hope to get some callers!

Rotary Club of Amherst Member Herbert Schmidt's terrific organization, the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village will be honored this week at the Amherst Chamber 's Small Business Awards Luncheon with the President's Award. We're very proud of Rotarian Herb and his team and all they have achieved in transforming the BNHV into a regional gem over the last few years!
#RotaryBuffaloNiagara

Congratulations to Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village recipient of the Small Business Awards Luncheon & Showcase President's Award. Though it may seem unusual for this award to be given to an attraction rather than a business, BNHV has transitioned from a department of the Town of Amherst to an independent entity. Their dedication to this challenging initiative is deserving of their awarding.

Be sure to stop by the Small Business Showcase to support the over 40 organizations taking part from 10:30am to 12pm at Samuel's, prior to the luncheon on May 19th. Admittance into the Showcase is free and open to the public! Learn more at www.amherst.org.
