And that’s another year in the books. Thank You to our Firefighters, Boys Scout Troops Willowridge 173 and Saint Christophers 58. And to all of the residents for another unbelievable year of food donations. The St Christopher’s Food Pantry will be stocked soon. We are sure we didn’t get to see everyone and we do try the best we can. Weather and obviously still needing to respond to calls factors in to how this night goes every year. Thank You All!!!

The Members of Ellicott Creek send our condolences to the Williamsville FD and the family of President Joe Frese. May he Rest In Peace….

It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the Williamsville Fire Department announces the passing of its president, Joe Frese. Joe passed this morning, December 18, 2021. Joe was more than our current sitting president, he was the staunchest of supporters for his department, his community, and his family. As faithful as he was to his fire department, he taught incoming firefighters to remember the rank of life – Family, Faith, Job, then firehall. A 38 year member of the department, Joe served in many roles in addition to his numerous terms as President. Joe additionally served as Vice President, Captain, Lieutenant, Director, member of the Fire Police, and on many committees and additional organizations within the department. Joe was a committed community supporter, a champion of everything WFD and Williamsville, having served as Deputy Mayor of the village. Joe was warm and witty, crass and curt, passionate and personable, and you could only love Joe.
As recently as Thanksgiving of this year, Joe was where you knew you could always find him at 7am on Thanksgiving morning – at the annual WFD football game and breakfast, flashing his grin in the traditional group photo prior to kickoff. That grin, that wit, that wise ‘ol guy will be missed. Our sympathies are with his wife Ev, son and daughter, Jason (& Tiffany) and Amanda (& Rick), and the joys of his life, his granddaughters, Liliana, Angelina and Presley. Rest peacefully, WFD 16. We’ll take it from here.

We are excited to announce that after months of our Truck Committee meeting, specifying, putting out to bid and choosing the right ladder truck manufacturer to replace our 40 year old apparatus. Our Membership approved the purchase last night of a Pierce 100 Foot Ladder Truck. We expect to take delivery in the spring of 2023. We are thankful for being awarded a FEMA Grant to pay for a large portion of this truck. We still have much work to do before this apparatus arrives.
