📣Tangipahoa Parish School System is searching for CLASS® (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) observers for public school and early learning center observations in the Infant/Toddler and Pre-K assessment tools.

Observers must hold current certification in CLASS, 2nd Edition, for the Infant/Toddler tool, the Pre-K–3rd tool, or both.

Interested individuals may also participate in training to become a CLASS-certified observer. The training consists of a three-day course held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. Registration and course materials will be provided at no cost in exchange for an agreement to conduct at least 10 observations during both the fall and spring semesters.

Observations typically take approximately two hours to complete. Observers will receive $150 per observation, which includes compensation for the observation, travel time, and post-observation conference.

Tangipahoa Parish School System Announces 2026 School Challenge Winners!

The points are locked, the numbers are crunched, and the results of the 2026 Tangipahoa Parish School System Weekly Challenges are officially in!

Throughout the year, schools have gone head-to-head in friendly, high-energy, point-based challenges designed to boost school culture, attendance, engagement, and student success. This wasn't your typical leaderboard; schools racked up points by dominating culture challenges, intervention challenges, attendance challenges, and progress monitoring challenges." These challenges measured everything from showing school pride on social media to high attendance rates to landing on the leaderboard for leveling-up interventions, and successfully bringing character building to life via the Character Strong curriculum.

After months of spirited tracking, we are thrilled to announce the schools that leveled up, crushed the competition, and claimed their spots at the top of the 2026 podium!

The 2026 Leaderboard Champions
Overall District Champion & Learning Community #1 Winner: Spring Creek Elementary
Learning Community #2 Champion: Roseland Montessori School
Learning Community #3 Champion: O.W. Dillon Leadership Academy
Learning Community #4 Champion: Kentwood High Magnet School

"These challenges brought out the absolute best in our schools," said Superintendent Melissa Stilley. "Seeing our staff and students dive into the challenges, show up for well-being, log in for interventions, and share that positive energy with the community online has been the real win. Huge congratulations to our learning community champions for setting the bar so high!"

A massive shoutout to all the educators, students, and families who logged in, showed up, and built a stronger, happier culture across Tangipahoa Parish Schools this year. Get ready to defend your titles next season!
